We live in a lovely house that Turk built on 9 acres in the spectacular Ferguson Valley. We have a retired greyhound who sleeps all day and quite a few sheep who act as organic lawnmowers and eat the grass. The area is about 30 minutes from Bunbury by car and we are surrounded by wineries and a couple of micro breweries. We have spectacular views of the ocean and Bunbury.
Travellers could practice their English, learn about gardening and general maintenance. We also both enjoy cooking.
We need to clear up a lot of branches and undergrowth and some dead trees so that we can get it all burnt before it gets too hot. Some pruning in the orchard and help in the garden and possibly rock picking.
The work would require people who are fit and strong. Being able to use a chain saw would be useful but not essential. Helping build a couple of retaining walls. I am also trying to learn French so we could practise if anyone speaks French.
We have 2 Queen sized bedrooms both with their own en-suites.
Nearby Bunbury has a fabulous Dolphin centre which is very interesting. We don't smoke so would rather have non-smoking people. We walk for about half an hour every morning.
There are mountain bike trails close by. We like to eat in a healthy manner and use a lot of home grown vegetables.
