They can learn about organic gardening, about our lifestyle which doesn't include TV. We love visitors and share food, stories and talk about the world. We speak both English and Swiss German at home and love to share knowledge of languages and learn from travellers. Swiss cuisine is nutritious and delicious and is definitely part of the experience. As a professional storyteller Barry is always interested in hearing folk tales from other lands and loves to share some he knows and tells. Ursula has been a professional photographer for 45 years (we even still have a functioning darkroom in our house) and loves to share her knowledge. We ourselves are travellers and love to meet and get to know people from all over the world.

We live in the Selkirk Mountains on five acres with a view onto Kootenay Lake. Our home is about 35 minutes from Nelson BC, called Harrop/Procter. Clean mountain water, clean air and lots of forest. To get to Harrop, you have to cross the West Arm of Kootenay Lake by a cable ferry. There is a public bus going to Nelson a few times a day six days a week.
Hiking trails, Ainsworth hot springs, beaches and parks. We drive to Nelson at least twice per week to buy groceries etc.
