  • Description

    Description

We are a community which now has 5 people (plus 2 children). We are working together to find sustainability both at an ecological and financial level. We have 4 cottages that we rent out as holiday lets, alongside the beginning of a retreat place.

We participate in a variety of spiritual practices and value individual beliefs. Some practices we share, such as sweatlodges, and seek to support each other.

Volunteers enjoy visiting and learning from hands-on experience here, whether in the garden, or from maintenance and upkeep and beautifying the environment. We seek to provide a welcoming environment where guests can absorb the space or connection they need, and help us with our day by day jobs and lives. Our lives have a spiritual aspect and we are happy to share that we those working with us.

We are not a farm, but try to grow as much as we can to eat. We rent out cottages and run some retreats.

The help needed would be a variety of things i.e. helping in the garden (planting/harvesting/mowing) and helping out in the house.

The hours vary but in general we ask for 5 hours a day 5 days a week. We are flexible on this and when you do your hours. Whilst we enjoy eating together as much as possible (everyone taking turns in cooking), you may find that some days you might need to prepare your own food.

Volunteers will stay in the main house with us. Rooms depend on who is currently in the house or how many volunteers. Most rooms are on-suite, only one is not but has bathroom next door and share with 1 other. We live in a 300 year old Georgian mansion so it can be drafty, but it is cosy.
