    Description

I'm fred and I've started a vegetable farm since january 2018. I was already a vegetable farmer in the past for a year and a half and did few years of wwoofing in france and australia. I'm happy to start this new farm with great view on the pyrenees and very quiet surrounding. I grow a great variety of vegetables to sell them on markets, vegetale baskets and organic shops. I'm really interested on cultivated biodiversity so hybride f1 here, I much prefer old varieties and some ne ones that fit better the professional use. I'm partly working with machines like tractor but am very interested in no dig techniques and how to work with green covers. So I make the choice not to use plastic covers, and by the way they are really ugly.
As an experienced wwoofer I wish to step to the other side and welcome people really interested and curious about vegetable growing and nature living.
I leave on the land in a part of a farm building. For the volunteers, there's a huge caravane with everything you need inside, it is set up under a tree canopee very enjoyable during hot season The river Arize flows beside the farm and you can get a swim to refresh yourself after work or whenever you wish. From the farm you can get to Mas d'Azil and its curious cave in 20 min, you can have a special experience of Ariege at the Montbrun bocage's hippy sunday market and you are 45 min from the pyrenees and start of mountain hikes. I play guitar and accordion so musicians are very welcomed. See you soon.

    Bonjour,

I could provide all my knowledge in growing organic vegetables and how to live simply with nature in a very quiet environnement with an astonishing view on the wonderful pyrennees. Beside work, If you like dancing and local culture I'd be able to give you an idea of the local traditional folklore. By the way if you intend to improve your french you're much welcome. I play guitar and accordion so musicians very welcome.
