Description
A huge, lovingly converted (very comfortable) farm complex, where from time to time we offer residential courses in garden design and related subjects. The rest of the time we are often entertaining our family and friends. We are very sociable! So we often need help, mainly during the autumn and spring, but occasionally in the summer as well. We speak English, French and some German.
The house is set in a large parc and is about 1 km from a friendly village. Helpers must be able to drive and, ideally, have their own transport, as there are many lovely places to visit in the area, including the Mediterranean coast, the Pyrenees mountains and lots of charming medieval villages. For those looking for a bit more excitement (!) Toulouse is about an hour's drive away. If you just want to relax in your free time we have wifi, satellite television and a very extensive library. We pride ourselves on the quality of our food and make full use of all the excellent local produce available, some of which comes from our own garden, depending on season. Help with cooking is always appreciated and we are delighted to share recipes for dishes you particularly enjoy. We are not vegetarians, but are happy to cook for those who are.
We welcome our helpers as members of our own family, living in the main house with us, and hope they will respond by being flexible and helping out with whatever needs doing, which can change from day to day. We will never ask you to do anything which is beyond your skills range, but if there are jobs you particularly enjoy let us know and we will see if we can find you something to do within that category. Your main role will be to help us look after our paying guests.
We think you will be happiest here as a pair, either a couple or two friends, so that you can share tasks and also go off exploring together.Types of help and learning opportunities

Well, quite a lot about garden design if they are interested in that (!), and a great deal about our area and its history. A chance to experience life in truly rural France, which is in many ways unchanged from how it was many, many years ago. And the chance to add quite a few new dishes to their repertoire of recipes.

What else ...
Really, anything you might want to do is within reasonable driving distance, whether restaurants, cafes, clubs, sports, music, shops, cinemas, etc. But please note, there is no public transport at all, and whilst you will use our car to do errands for us, we cannot lend it to you for your own use during your free time.
