Hello my name is Anna. I am a mature lady and I love my home in Puglia but it is getting a little too much for me to manage at certain times of the year. I have several olive trees and many fruit trees and i love to gather and process the harvests they produce. I am a keen gardener and would love to have more time to tend to my flower beds! I have grown up children with their own families who live in London. I visit the UK regularly and see them often.
The accommodation comprises of a 3 bedroomed villa with a trullo attached (but separate from the main house) with its own en suite. There is also another very comfortable little trullo, a short walk down a little track with a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. There is a roof terrace and lovely patio area with a barbecue which is there to be used!
Over the years i have rented out the villa part of my home to holiday guests but this is no longer a priority although i do have the occasional paying guests to stay.
It is set in a beautiful olive grove with tranquil views over meadows towards Ostuni and Cisternino.
It is important toknow that i do not have transport at the moment. There is a bus stop to Ostuni and Martina Franca a 10minute walk away. Also trains from these towns.

Help
I am an Italian lady who teaches Italian and English. I was once a nurse and I have travelled the world nursing some years ago. I am looking for volunteers who would be be able to help me keep my small plot of land tidy. This will involve some strimming and pruning and general garden tidying. I also need help painting the exterior of the building. In return i can offer a very comfortable room and a meal a day which you may cook yourself and if i am able to, i will cook for you (some good Italian cooking!) I can also offer some Italian lessons if desired.
Depending on the type of work we are doing i am happy for hours worked to be arranged in blocks of days so you have whole days free.
I am very interested in history and culture and would be happy to share my knowledge of Italy with my guests.

Comfortable bedroom in a traditional trulli with en suite bathroom. Stunning views. Rural setting but short drive from historic centre of Ostuni the famous 'White City' or the beautiful Cisternino.

In your time off you can explore the beautiful nearby towns of Martina Franca, Cisternino and Ostuni. Visit the vibrant markets on most days of the week selling locally produced fresh produce. The many beaches to choose from are a 20 minute drive away and include the nature reserve Torre Guaceto. If you like walking or cycling you can walk or hire a bicycle and ride the Apulian aqueduct route from Cisternino to Ceglie Messapica, famous for good food and restaurants. You could visit the famous Alberobello, a town entirely of trulli or the caves at Grotte di Castellana. There are many wonderful ways to spend your time in Puglia!
