  • Description

We have a beautiful family home set on 5 acres of structured gardens and bush settings. It is located in rural Victoria in the popular wine and spa region near Daylesford. Ballan or Castlemaine are only 30 mins away and the train from these towns will get you into Melbourne in 1 hour. (We can pick you up from either of these railway stations). This area is a great base for exploring this old gold mining area. You can experience the great outdoors by bushwalking, mountain biking, wineries etc!

We are a middle aged couple that love to travel and share experiences with other travellers! We have accommodation for two people. We are looking for enthusiastic people to assist with a range of projects from gardening/landscaping, creating a sculpture for our garden and other small building projects. We are fun people who enjoy having other adventurous, enthusiastic and positive people around!

Anne is an oncology nurse and beauty and massage therapist while Sean is a glass artist and a handyman.

They will learn a little of our way of life and we welcome volunteers to join in and socialise with us and our friends.

  • Help

We want to further develop the gardens as well as establishing raised vegetable beds. We have a large dam that we want to beautify by building a small jetty, planting water lilies and stocking it with fish. Our expectation is that the volunteers would help 5hrs per day for 5 days and have two full days off to sight-see. We also have a small car that is available for the volunteers to use if they have an international drivers licence.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The Daylesford/Hepburn region is known as 'spa country' with Hepburn Springs a 45 minute walk through native bushland. The Chocolate Mill is a short 500m walk where there are delicious home made chocolates and coffee. The Gold Fields walking trail is very close by and our bicycles are available for use. Many wineries are are a short drive away as are a number of significant country towns such as Ballarat, Bendigo, Castlemaine. On our 5 acres we have a number of beautiful birds attracted to the native flora and we also have a visiting koala and a number of kangaroos and wallabies.
