We're a family run, little (and first) hostel in the charming rural town of Santa Fe de Veraguas in Panama. The town and its surroundings are starting to attract tourism for its natural beauty and authenticity.
There are a lot of hiking to do here, to stunning waterfalls or some mountain tops. Rivers are plenty. Locals - mostly farmers - are friendly and very eager to chat with foreigners.
Helping with Tourists
If you're a nature lover, you will adore Santa Fe! There is so much to do and see: hikes to waterfalls, river swimming, bird watching, visiting some local "fincas". Locals are very friendly and the hostel in itself is a cool, relaxing place where you get to know many different people from all over the world.
We need a hand with the reception 5 hours in the afternoon, starting at 4 pm until closing time (9 pm). Being at the reception means that you need to be sociable, agreeable and fluent in both English and Spanish as you will be receiving guests, explaining them how the hostel work and giving them tourist information.
When the flow is slow, there are always little things to do to keep you busy and make us happy, so we leave that to your taste and sense of initiative. We also have animals that need to be fed (3 cats and 2 dogs), weeds that need to be pulled out or plants that need water... If you're an artist and want to leave a piece of you here, welcome!
