We are a unique hostel with cafe and restaurant created to provide an affordable alternative to nationals and independent travelers wishing to experience the Osa Peninsula, while simultaneously benefiting the families and wildlife in the region through the promotion of responsible tourism. The income generated by the backpackers is invested in the environmental programs of a local NGO.

Experience in a very rural village, can improve your Spanish, or another language at the hostel. There are many unique community projects going on nearby such as the sea turtle rescue. We have access to some of the most beautiful beaches of Drake Bay and the best surf spot in the area. We offer surf lessons and board rentals.
We are looking for a motivated, proactive, and independent traveler to work around 4 hours per day (5 days per week) on a shift basis, in exchange for free accommodation, wifi, free use of laundry, access to the guest kitchen, bicycle and other facilities of the hostel.
The volunteer will help the hostel with receiving guests, promotion, booking tours, taking payments, basic cleaning (we have a cleaner too), gardening, and perhaps construction and art projects if suitable.
Minimum commitment 2 weeks.
A bed in the dorm.
We offer cost price (or sometimes free) tours for volunteer when feasible, and of course a free home in Costa Rica's finest wilderness paradise.
There are lots of nearby beaches, trails, waterfalls and myriad wildlife to enjoy, including monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws and sloths in the garden, and a fresh river to jump into.
