Me and my brother are living in Lobitos, we are easygoing people who like to surf and share the simple things in life with the people around us. We are opening a little, rustic, beach style restaurant/bar. We'll be serving sea food during the day and 'pollos a la brasa' and bbq! Along with some drinks at night. We'd like to make the place as sustainable as possible, the place is mainly made out of bamboo and we'd like to incorporate a system to recycle the water, compost our food scraps, etc. We love art in any form too, so if you have any artsy ideas, bring them on!

Help around the house
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
By helping two local brothers, you'll get an inside look of our culture, you'll learn how to work with bamboo, how to cook traditional Peruvian dishes, like Ceviche. And if you don't know how to surf already, perhaps you can learn that too!
We'd like some general help in the house. We are opening a little restaurant, so if you know how to make a good compost system that would be great to give good use to our food scraps. Gardening and artsy ideas are very welcome too!
You'll be staying in our house, just two blocks away from the restaurant. Our house is located right in front of Lobitos main surf spot. so if you surf, you'll be steps away from the action! You'll have your own private bedroom with bathroom included. There are two single bed/mattress in the room, so if you're traveling with a friend, you both could stay there. You can also make use of the kitchen and common areas of the house. We'll also provide food, you can have breakfast and lunch with us, two meals per day.
Lobitos is a surfer/fishermen town that has gained popularity around the surfing world as one of the best surf spots in south america and the world. However it is just starting to grow and develop. This is because this place was a military base for many years. This land is also rich in oil, which has attracted different oil companies along the years. Their machinery and infrastructure has become part of the landscape.
The closest town from Lobitos is Talara, which is located 20-30min away. You can get there on mini-vans that run back and forth from 6am to 7pm everyday for 3 soles. There you can find little markets and a supermarket, ATM's/western union too if you need to, as there are not any in Lobitos.
We are pretty simple and easygoing people. We only expect to keep your space clean and to help keeping the common areas of the house clean as well.
