Description
I have a 60 head cattle ranch in the north thompson valley, spectacular river views and amazing mountain scenery. I’m looking for help during late winter early spring calving, from january 25 - march 15. I could also use help with cooking and general house duties. This time of the year is very busy I would greatly appreciate the help, monday - Friday 4-5hrs per day. If your interested in cattle and good animal husbandry this is the place, I am very picky with cattle and calf health. I live in a 4 year old custom timber frame home, helper has there own room, bath room, internet and tv if wanted. I am 4-5 hrs from Vancouver, 50 minutes from major center, 10 minutes from small town, 45 minutes from Sun Peaks Ski Resort and 40 minutes from Wells Grey Park

Tasks will include cow checks, assistance with tagging calves, cleaning calving pens, cooking and general house duties. Some experience with animals, and interest in them is a must, I’m more looking for someone to split the house chores with, I enjoy cooking, but time is valuable at this time of the year

Up to date accommodations, I have a beautiful 4 year old custom post and beam home that over looks the north thomson valley and river. Helper will have their own bed room and bath room, with all amenities

This is my first time having a work away, but most of my neighbors and friends have helpers, so they have convinced me to give it a try. I am one of very few young ranchers in B,C and have worked hard to build up my own place. I take a lot of pride in my land and my cattle herd. I am a easy going helpful person, i enjoy being active skiing, hiking, riding motorcycle’s and riding my horse. I’m hoping to have a helper that is interested in learning about ranching and what British Columbia has to offer
