We are a scuba diving centre with budget rooms and a restaurant, located on Long-beach, Perhentian Island, Malaysia. In2018 we will be expanding to create a camping area to be called "Scuba Village" on a well-forested part of Long-beach. This new facility will have innovative features like a beach-side lounge and self-catering on a communal BBQ, as well as easy access to a coral reef for diving and snorkelling.
DIY and building projects
Our project's mission is to promote self-reliance at work, while socializing and of course, when scuba diving
This host offers accommodation and payment.
This is a new project so we need individuals who are willing to help transform what is now a beachside forest into comfortable camping area, in an environmentally sensitive way. This would primarily involve building small raised platforms to site each tent together with the supporting toilets and walkways. The main task of constructing with wood and cement will be done by tradesmen. However I am looking for volunteers who have some ability at carpentry to supplement their work. I will be paying the going rate in Malaysia for such work which is RM50 per day plus food and accommodation. There will also be the opportunity to do some scuba diving when the diving centre opens in early march.
Accommodation is in a dormitory with Fan. The management provides the raw foodstuff which the staff can cook collectively or individually.
We can offer scuba diving to workawayers who are certified to dive.
