Description
I live with my four dogs and two donkeys just outside a village in Almería. It is a small farming village not a pretty tourist village. I have about 2 acres of land which is in desperate need of attention. The area has lots of walking and exploring opportunities and a fabulous community spirit.
The public transport system is pretty non existent but there is a coach station in the nearest town and the village is a short walk away with a shop, health centre and two bars.
Finally, I am a bit scatty so don't expect perfect organisation. I am pretty sociable too so often people are coming and going and social activities going on which you can join in with if you want to.Types of help and learning opportunities

Within an hours drive are the cities of Murcia and Almería. The Sierra Nevada and Granada are about 2 hours away in the car but can be accessed by coach from our local bus station. The coast is a 35 min drive and the Cabo de Gata natural park is around an hour away also.
Help
What I really need is help to make my land look attractive rather than the area of scrubland that it is. There will be a lot of land clearance and basic gardening duties, but also an opportunity to put forward creative ideas as to what can be done with it. Some mosaicing and small building projects could be involved. There will also be the opportunity to interact with the dogs and the donkeys. The times of work can be flexible depending on the weather and your exploring plans. In August there would be some involvement in almond picking and preparation.

I have two separate casetas, each with bedroom, shower room and kitchen/lounge. One with twin beds and one double. There are washing facilities and internet. As I run solely on solar electricity visitors would be expected to respect this and not use high wattage appliances. Monday to Friday I can provide an evening meal. I am prepared to cook but would also be delighted to share the cooking with the workaway. Washing up and clearing afterwards would be a shared activity. I will also provide lunchtime snacks but breakfast would be the responsibility of the workaway. I would expect you to provide your own weekend food and things like water tea, coffee etc for consumption in your own time.
The casetas have a separate courtyard so you can have some privacy if you want to.
In the summer months I also have a small plunge pool which you can use.
I would expect the accommodation to be left as clean and habitable on departure as on arrival. What else ...
On your time off I will be as helpful as possible providing local information about interesting things to do and see and am also willing to provide some transport to enable you to explore. This could include shared afternoons out locally or taking you to bus or train stations. I am fairly flexible
