    Description

Hello. My name is Josh and I own a 3 acres fruit farm in Kiluea Hi - located in Kauai. I have a well cared for home and orchard as well as ornamental border gardens that get maintained - as well as a small kitchen garden. I am looking for someone to work for 1-2 weeks before or after exploring the island. I can provide minimum wage for 25 hours a week as well as 1 meal a day. I eat simply (lots of avocado toast and fruits). Dinner may be included or there is food 1.5 miles either direction and hitching is a regular practice for many visitors for getting around.
I expect clean and well kept individuals - no excessive drug/alcohol use or anyone who intends to need longer accommodation than I can provide. Self sufficiency and good workers need only apply.

Workawayers will benefit from being able to harvest local fruits in winter (avocado, tangelo, meyer lemon, as well as Pineapple) in addition to making wages.!

Workawayers will learn about pineapple care and cultivation. Overall, workawayers can gain beneficial experience with the farm labor involved with our farm management for citrus and fruit bearing tropical trees in the hawaiian islands. Enjoy the constantly changing weather as you live in a pastoral environment.

    Help

I have a 3 acre farm on Kauai’s north shore . I need help for 1-2 weeks harvesting trimming and general tree help as well as garden bed maintenance around the home. I need someone very soon and I can accommodate minimum wage plus simple accommodation. If you are in the islands already great, if coming in from the mainland -good too. Meals are negotiable but farm produce is available (avocado, tangelo, banana etc) along with simple cooler or prep area to have purchased items. I do not have transportation except possible initial pickup from the airport or transfer to the farm.

    What else ...

Most visitors to Kaua’i plan part of their stay to include visits to the Napali coast or the Kalalau trail for hiking and sightseeing. Ke’e beach and Lumihai are also places to visit - or just tour the island and see all sides. Visitors will also want to plan to go west to see Waimea Canyon.
