Many upcoming projects from gardening to building!! If you're here looking for the next opportunity to learn and contribute to a regenerative lifestyle then we already have something incredible in common. We ourselves are thirsty for the knowledge and experience. We have so much to learn. But who doesn't? At first I didn't feel we were ready to host others because we are still so far away from the aspirations and dreams we so desperately strive for. Not just for ourselves, but for the Earth. We are tired of being in the heart of a throw away society. So how do you make a difference, one might ask? By taking the first step. And that's exactly what we decided to do. We have started by taking some different educational classes of interest. Blueberry physiology, permaculture basics, beekeeping. But it doesn't just start there. We realized we needed not just the hands on approach but also the connection. So we started volunteering. That's what this program and others is all about right? Forming that connection with community. An exchange of knowledge and skills amoungst others. So our first step to start up our goals was to create not only a suitable but comfortable place to host others so we can begin this new chapter in our lives. We have much to do because as of yet our focus has been on accommodations. Now comes the fun part! Our future goals consist of assessing the property to create the best regenerative irrigation. Working with swales, hugelkultur beds, amending soil. Creating cob walls, hot tub, fireplaces. Wrap around porch. This is just the start. We just Finished remodeling a tiny house that is quite cute and cozy if I can be so bold. It can sleep 4 ppl. One bedroom/ one bath. Pull out queen couch. The house is on an island in the low country of Georgia with tidal water and beaches all around. Also a short drive to the beautiful historic Savannah.

When I first visited this area I was instantly captivated by the southern charm and history. Initially it was in the heart of downtown Savannah. Massive live oaks dripping in Spanish Moss creating a canopy across the streets dotted with one old southern mansion after another. Strolling through 22 park squares is something very surreal. All surrounded by tidal marshes and barrier islands. There is rich history here and much beauty in the landscape. If there is an interest in the area we can help plan it out together. Do a little research in the area. It's important to experience the area as well. We have a lot of ideas if you express your interests.

Projects will vary from week to week because we have oodles of them so depending on where we are at with depend on the job at hand. However if there is a particular talent you can contribute to a specific job please let us know and we can work around what's best suited depending on efficiency or practicality. We are working from the ground up to create more of a regenerative property. If you can devote 4 to 5 hours/day. Or Full days a couple days a week that could involve anything from tilling soil to hammering a nail. Some building experience would be great particularly in sustainable practices however just a hard worker willing to learn is always acceptable. When we go over time period of stay we can be more specific to the project at hand.

Our humble space is just a wee tiny house that we are trying to turn into a cute coastal cottage. It has great potential. The space is completely private and the only house on the property. It has one bedroom with queen sized bed. One bathroom with shower. Laundry room with washer and dryer. Fully equipped kitchen and living room with queen pull out couch. Smart t.v. with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon. Free WiFi. Please be very specific with dietary needs. We can plan our family meals to accommodate most needs if given advance notice. There is a kitchen so if you would rather prepare your own meals then a gift card or farm bag can be arranged for the stay.

There is plenty to see in the area within a days journey. Most things will need to be commuted by vehicle whether that be Uber, personal vehicle or we could possibly arrange means if scheduled out. On our island kayaking is possible, fishing, lots of country roads to ride a bike. In the area there is lots of historical tours for homes, museums, forts, plantations, wildlife refuges. This is coastal, tidal, swamp transitional zones. Lots of wildlife can be seen here in certain areas. There are a couple wildlife refuges that have great alligator sightings and many tours that take you out for dolphin watching. Have a spiked drink walking down the cobblestones of downtown Savannah on the river. How many places can you freely do that. I'll have a drink to go please! Climb a twisted natural jungle gym of large Driftwood trees at the boneyard on Jekyll Island. Charter to a private island where you can see wild horses or learn about Gullah history. Days can be flexible. We work other jobs. If there is a day that you want the entire day to explore something in the area let us know and we can work it around our schedule. Our jobs are fairly flexible. After all we are on island time!
