    We are an Eco-lodge owned by the indigenous comunity of San Jose de Uchupiamonas located in the Madidi reserve. Close to Rurrenabaque, Bolivia. Our objectives is to bring a sustainable and respectfull experience in the deep jungle to our guests. Regarding to that we looking for volunteers to help us maintaining and improving all kind of works and technics that can goes in this sense.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    In exchange we offer the acomodation (with of course mosquito net !) and the 3 meals (which are very varied). You will be welcome to go with the guides and explore the jungle as much as you want, visit the Santa Rosa lake, have a trip to the Quechua-Takana comunity, use the canoas for the lake, fishing and more ! You won't pay as well the park entrance fee which is 30 usd and any transportation in and out the lodge.

  • Help


    We are asking for about 5 hours of work per day, 5 days a week. Work is quite heavy but the team is great and the immersion is total. We expect good adaptation skills, good sense of humor, resistance to high temperature and every gardening or building skills, ideas or project you can bring ! The help will be multiple and various.
    You will help out in the logistics (from town to the lodge), cleanning the trails (good opportunity to see wildlife), give english lessons, watch out and maintain the garden (we have more than 25 types of cultures), improve the decoration of the lodge with any kind of artistic ideas, help as well in the organisation with the staff, organize promotion and manage the social networks.
    By the way, you will have an interview with the manager to check what will be the needs of the moments regarding to your skills.

  • Accommodation


    We provide a shared cabaña or if you want the small rooms in the staff building, depends on what you'll prefer.
    For both choice you will have a private bed with sheets, blanket and mosquito net. The shower is with cold water but with the temperature you won't mind beleive me ! We provide as well drinkable water but most of the time you will enjoy fresh local juices.

    Important to keep in mind we are in a remote place so there is no internet, no phone service neither, we just comunicate with Rurrenabaque with radio channel. Anything you need more than food you'll need to bring it. We have several books in the lodge you'll be welcome to grab. Always bring suncream, repelent and headlamp.
