This working market farm is an experiential learning environment that is operated
by and for the university community. Started by students, we are entirely volunteer run and are excited to share good laughs and good food with hard workers!
Depending on when in the growing season you arrive, you will have ample opportunity to engage with every aspect of farming! Seeding, planting, weeding, building beds, and harvesting fill our days. Please bring appropriate clothing, including rubber boots, sun hat, and clothes you don't care if you ruin. Farming is muddy work.
We ask that our volunteers work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. Please be aware that early mornings may be necessary in order for our workers to avoid the summer heat.
English, some French.
Depending on your length of stay we have two different options for accommodations, both in apartments in which our student leaders reside. You will have your own room, and access to the rest of the space.
Transportation will be available if need be, and tours of the bustling local sites will also be provided. There are amazing farmers markets, great restaurants and clubs, and some breath-taking nature trails. A bike is recommended, and we may be able to coordinate one for your use while you stay.
We will only accept those who are respectful, friendly, and open to what farm life can entail. This isn't a glamorous job, but we have fun and make great baked goods.
