Description
The house is located in the mountains north of Valencia, Spain. Its between Sierra Calderona Natural Park and La Dehesa. Near the towns of Algimia, Alfara and Torres-Torres. I purchased it 4 years ago and have been renovating the house since. At the moment it’s just me and my 2 dogs Kalimi and Kaya. I’m originally from Venezuela but studied and lived in the US for 11 years. I’m an architect and product designer. And sometimes I teach yoga classes. I need help since there’s lots of maintenance required outdoors. There’s different gardens with a pond with fish and a swimming pool. 2 lovely dogs that need feeding and walking. I also have new landscaping project going on. It’s a rocky terrain that needs raking, digging out some plants and planting new ones. Creating walk pathways. Trimming and cutting (General Gardening). I sometimes need to go to Madrid for a few days and come back, so I’m looking for someone responsible, dog lover, and has initiative to do things even if not told to do so. For example, if the pond is filled with algae clean it a bit because if not fish will die.

Workawayers would benefit from learning or practicing different languages like English or Spanish even the local dialect Valencià from the people in town. I’m a very chatty person when needed so it could be over morning coffee or tea. It can be while we’re working in the garden or over a lovely meal. Also they can enjoy Spanish food, music and their customs. I can show them around local ruins or rivers and waterfalls. There’s lots of hiking and cycling routes around the area. I can give them pointers of where to go in Valencia or what beaches are close by. We can cook different dishes traditional or exotic together.
Help
We need help with basic things like animal care (dogs, fish, maybe chickens) & gardening. And also we are looking for people with “a bit of everything skills“. Someone who can paint a wall or fix things, some experience in building and or carpentry and wood work.

You can contact them directly for more information.Accommodation
Wood cabin with king size bed. It includes a desk, shelves, small bathroom and heating. You would also have access to your own full equipped bathroom and kitchen.
Breakfast, snacks and drinks would be on each workawayer because everyone had there preference. I would provide lunch and dinner. On the days they’re not working like weekends food is on them. I would take them to the local supermarkets so they can stock up. Food prices are very cheap compared to the rest of Europe. Some meals we can prepare together or others would be provided by me taking into account any dietary preference or restrictions. What else ...
There’s lots of hiking and cycling routes in the area. Small Spanish towns with typical architecture and their churches and plazas. There’s historic monuments and ruins. Also lakes, waterfalls and dams. Only 20 mins car ride to the beach.
