Tätigkeiten, die mich interessieren:

I am currently finishing my Master's thesis in Psychology and before starting to work I would like to take a break and fill this break with amazing Workaway experiences

Beschreibung

I think meeting people is something amazing! I used to be a circus artist in a youth circus and we were always one big family, supporting and learning from one another. I also played the cello in an orchestra, where everybody contributed with their instrument to the creation of amazing music. Since my interest in human beings is so great, I decided to study Psychology and am now finishing my Bachelor's thesis. During my studies I especially learned how to reflect on my behavior and communication was always a big topic. I enjoy cooking nights with my friends, biking around town, swimming in the nearby lake and dancing until sunrise.
After graduating from high school I took a gap year and after some month of working in an Italian ice cream café and at the post office I was able to raise enough money to travel to the US, Mexico, Ruanda, Uganda and Kenya. I will never forget the memories I collected in these places and the many things I learnt on the way!
After my Bachelor's degree I went on another trip and hiked to Mount Everest Base Camp, followed by a 2-months journey through amazing India!! During that time I volunteered in a school for underprivileged children, which made me grow a lot as a person.

I often hear others saying like: woow you speak so many languages, that is amazing! And I definitely agree. I really enjoy speaking foreign languages and I think I am also talented in learning languages. My interest stems from traveling, where I realized that it is just so much nicer to visit a country once you know some of the language because it gives you the opportunity to communicate with the locals and get off the tourist track which I am always looking for :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am a person who is curious about many things. I like being physically active, not minding about getting my hands dirty and being sweaty at the end of the day. My mum is a carpenter, so from early on I was used to having all kinds of tools even in our living room. She inspires me a lot to work with my hands and every time I get a bit of a crisis because everything is so theoretical in my Psychology studies, I know that at home there is always something "real" that needs to be figured out and done. We also have a garden were we like to grow some of our food, so I have some gardening experience as well. My family has always been very open-minded and we enjoy welcoming exchange students and participated in student exchanges ourselves. I would say that adapting to a new environment is very easy for me. I am easy-going and highly uncomplicated in many things. I also like to work with children and gained some experience through being an au-pair, and through the circus. I would also describe myself as a curious and creative person, always eager to learn something new. By the way, I really like cooking (vegetarian/vegan) and baking!

Was noch ...

I would like to point out that I really do not mind hard work, I have a lot of energy and endurance. Also, I am completely fine with an easy accommodation and no running water or an unstable internet connection. I am not afraid of mosquitos and a spider does not make me scream :)
