I am currently in Marrakech where I run my restaurant and local riad. I am also renovating a riad for commerical use after the summer. Interested in summer work with tourism/restaurants in Europe.

Hello Hosts and Workawayers,

My name is Marco, I am originally from Italy, although I have lived extensively abroad.

I am 47-years-old, and after completing an universtity degree and Masters in London, have worked in many different fields including aviation and journalism.

I have now spent about 9 years in Marrakech, Morocco, living and learning from the local culture. I am running the snack bar/small restaurant I own as well as lodging guests in a local riad.

I like very much the aspect of spending time outdoor and in contact with people. Both the riad and the restaurant have outdoor areas and I'm glad I now have this kind of lifestyle.
When I have time off I go trekking on mountains or the countryside.

As the summer is low season in Marrakech I would like to take this time to find summer work in Europe, but to do so in an environment that for me would be new, enjoyable and and allow me to broaden my expertise.

I speak English, Italian and French.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

BSc in Sociology and Media Studies, Masters in Theatre Arts.

Management of accomodation and small scale restaurants. Dealing with people, linking this with a personal touch and the desire to enable guests have great holidays or experiences mainly by sharing my own personal experiences and what I have learnt in given situations.
Cooking recipies in particular from the Italian and Moroccan tradition, waiting tables as well.

Reasonably fit as well as enthusiastic. I love trekking particularly mountains, a passion developed in the Abruzzo region of Italy where I have part of my family and then continued in natural settings offered in Morocco.

In addition I have experience with the stage - as a director and actor in various shows performed particularly in London and in Rome. A skill that perhaps I could teach.

I have also worked for six years as a fim journalist, so I believe I can also write good descriptions if it came to it.

At the moment I am looking for a summer job in Europe for a length of time to be defined, between the start of July and the beginning or middle of September. I believe the best contribution I could make right now would be in the accomodation or restaurant business.
