Hi! Thanks for checking up my profile and hello to everybody out there! 

I am Stefan (29) and currently live in wonderful Schwarzach, which is a small and beautiful village near the Lake of Constance in Vorarlberg, in the western part of Austria.

I didn’t know about Workaway until a few weeks ago, when I told a friend I wanted to volunteer abroad and she suggested the site to me - I loved the concept and the warmheartedness of the community and so here I am.

I see Workaway as a great opportunity to live in a country with locals and believe that traveling gives people big opportunities to grow. It changes you in a good way, opens your eyes to see more beauty around and makes you a better and kinder person.

Over the years I have come to the decision to stop postponing my dreams and "start living". I have always wanted to travel the world, meet new people and gain experiences.
I am looking for my next volunteer experience, developing new skills, making new friends and getting to know different places, languages and cultures. I love learning about people and their lives and hearing their stories. I like cities as well as more rural places.

My friends would describe me as a positive, easy going and hard-working person. One of my favourite hobbies is to make people laugh :)
I would describe myself as an openminded person who loves the volunteering spirit and wants to explore much more.

My interests include history, ice hockey and music, but my favourite hobby is spending time in nature. For example: walking (alone or with the wonderful dog of my neighbour), hiking and in the wintertime also skiing. I love the beauty of the forest and the countryside and I spend as much time there as possible. I also love to spend time with my big family I love a lot.

Everything I do in my life is with a full heart, filled with positive energy and happiness. I enjoy being with people and in situations that create these conditions.

I want to try living, working and helping somewhere I have never been with people I have never met, maybe even doing something I have never done before! I think it could really be a lot of fun.
I don’t want to lie and tell you I am very skilled but I do believe a lot of things can be done with the right guidance, an open mindset, and the will to learn! And, of course I have a real hunger to learn new skills and I will give my best to be a huge help on anything.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have experience as a waiter, customer and with charity work so I am very experienced in dealing with people. and I am always ready to learn new skills for my repertoire!
I have a drivers license and a big heart for animals and children. It´s always a pleasure to be around them!
I can adapt to work independently or as part of a team :)
