unterwegs auf Reisen
Hello! I am Lisa, an university student from Tokyo, Japan. And currently I'm doing exchange study at University of Helsinki in Finland since Dec. 2020.
My aim of studying is to learn how to make our planet better place. I’m majoring in law and super interested in everything related to environmental issues, sustainable development and food. Therefore, I was taking courses related to sustainable development at university, but I’ve eventually realized that learning doesn’t only mean being stuck in front of my desk (more precisely, in front of my computer, since all courses were held online these days…) ,but also to experience new lifestyles and cultures. That’s why I decided to register myself as Workawayer :)
In my free time, I’m walking around forests with sweet buns these days. Either alone or with friends is nice. Everything I see here looks so bright, and I found that walking under sunny sky and have a rest with korvapuusti (cinnamon bun in Finnish!) could be wonderful part of my life. I didn’t know that having connection with nature makes me this happy before I came here in Finland. In addition, I like finding Moomin goods everywhere in Finland. To be honest, I pick Finland as my study place mainly because of Moomin ;)
I’d like to explore the Finland (and someday, other countries as well!) and learn new ways of living and get a clue for the sustainable world, with Workaway!
I was a member of environment volunteer club at university. We correct trashes and made something new from things which were supposed to be thrown away. (e.g. Book jacket from misprinted banner)
In addition, I was doing Japanese course assistant at University of Helsinki and... I have a Ninja certification :) (though it was mainly about knowledge! Don't worry, I don't have skills for assassination :D)

I'd like to learn some Finnish. And to be honest, I'm still struggling with English so it would be appreciated if I have chance to practice those. About teaching, I can teach some Japanese and Japanese culture!
I love everything related to art and creating! I love drawing, making some graphic arts, writing and so on.
Also, I like playing piano which I started to play it when I was three. I’m looking forward to meeting you!
