I've been raised on a farm in South east of ireland and worked in Electonics industry for the last 19 years (with 2 years taken off to travel during that time). I'm looking to try something else for a while and I am interested in experiencing some different work outside that. I done a 2 week WWOOF in Slovenia last year as part of a year long sabbatical and I really enjoyed the experience, helping out and learning about the work so I want to do more of this. I'm quite a laid back person and get on with people and I would consider myself someone who works hard and listens well to what people are looking to do but I guess you as the host will be the judge of that :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I've grown up on a farm so experience in the following:
- Animal raising
- Machinery (Tractors, Diggers, Combine harvesters)
- Tillage
Spend 2 weeks working on Organic farm in Slovenia (seeding, pruning, harvesting)
Degree in Electronic Engineering and around 17 years experience in that industry (now trying to move away from it :) )
Worked in various summer jobs over my lifetime - amusement park, hotel, laying cables in buildings

Workaway experience
Natural Building and yurt building - 2 weeks
- Putting in foundations for yurts using recycled tyres, stones and gravel.
- building platform for yurt on yurt foundation and some work on yurt itself
- Work on communal building using natural building methods - plastering internal walls and preparing mixtures for plaster

Horticulture and general work - 4 weeks
- Seeding and wedding
- Work on construction of wood shed
- Digging raised beds
