Hej Hej,

We're Guido(32) and Hanne(34), a couple from the Netherlands/Belgium that would like to settle down in Sweden.

We've spend the last 3 months in the South of Sweden on different WAW experiences to figure out if Sweden could be a place where we’d like to settle down and which region that would be.
The answer is ‘YES’ and we would like to come back to Dalsland / South of Värmland- region in September.

Because we had such a positive experience with our previous hosts, we would like to start as workawayers and through that we would like to find a base from where we can look for jobs and a place to stay, hopefully find like-minded people and learn the language a bit.


A bit more about ourselves:
Adventurous, love for animals, a heart for nature, keen to work and help out is pretty much what we stand for.
We're looking for connection with like-minded people & hope to inspire and learn from each other. We are social and love to get to know new people, but we also need our private/alone time. We are flexible, easy-going and positive, and hope with good and open communication to find out what works for all of us.
Guido (skilled carpenter) is doing some woodworking and spooncarving at the moment. He would love to do and learn more about working with wood, which is a real passion.
Hanne (midwife/nurse) likes to do all sorts of handicrafts (basic sewing, embroidery, revive second hand items,...). Her interest are in healthy eating, foodforaging, self-sustainability and simple living. She loves to be outdoors and help out with all kinds of DIY jobs. We’re both handy, independent and take pride in what we do. We hope to learn more about alternative and self-sustainable living, permaculture, general farming and living with and off the land. We do already have some knowledge about these topics, but didn't have the chance yet to put it into practice as we didn't stay in one place for too long the last couple of years, plus we want to expand our knowledge. Bonus would be if there is a chance for us to learn about fishing/hunting/foraging , beekeeping or earthbag/strawbale-building.


We are looking forward to our adventure, the projects we'll help to realise and the people we will meet!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We both have been helping out on farms before where we did a bit of everything like painting, fencing, spraying weeds, general maintenance, insulation flooring, general farm work...
Back home, Hanne worked as a nurse/midwife for over 10 years and as a Hostel Manager in New-Zealand.
Guido did a lot of different jobs like handyman, landscaper, carpentry etc.
We are both creative and like to work with our hands.
