Hello! I am looking forward to starting something new and exciting in my life. I am a young retiree who has many interests and a great zest for life. I love having intelligent conversations, spending time with people of all ages, hiking, nature, taking care of animals, reading, and learning languages. I believe that we never stop learning and that can happen in so many different ways.

I have lived in a few countries and the thirst to explore more while occcupying my time in mindful and fruitful activities has not been quenched yet. I have now lived in Canada for 25 years where my husband and I have raised our two fantastic sons, now young adults.

I have been described as responsible, honest, detail-oriented, considerate and kind by colleagues, employees, employers and friends alike. I will add that I consider myself curious and possess a unique outlook on life--looking at the funny side of things is a big component of my personality.

I am excited to spend time in Latin America, especially Mexico.

I have volunteered on an organic farm in Ireland in 2018 for two weeks.
I’ve just completed my first Workaway experience spending time with a family in Mexico, taking care of their three year old child’s while speaking English to her (November 2022).
