Ich bin gerade

Beschreibung

I'm travelling this fall through Portugal, Spain and Morocco with my guitar, to bring some music to cities I pass and meet some interesting new people.

I love to combine travelling with some volunteering work, to make myself usefull, help people who need it and make new friends. I'm a very open minded person and I am always happy to meet people with interesting ideas about life and work with them on their projects. If these projects are sustainable, in an environmental or social way, I am even more motivated.

Let me share some background and skills of myself. I have always been interested in the nature and culture of our big world, therefore I studied geography, environmental sciences and spatial planning. Next to my studies I gained some experience with education and childcare, for I gave environmental education on a boat for some years and I also volunteered as a tutor for immigrants in Belgium and as a English teacher in a language school in Kyrgyzstan. I also have some knowledge about nature conservation, as it was my job to make action plans for nature parks in Belgium. Moreover I volunteerd at a Portuguese NGO that works on forest regeneration. I am also very interested in sustainable agriculture although my experience with it is very limited, but I would be happy to learn something about it :)

My hobby is playing music. I play saxophone and guitar and some people would say I am a singer too. I play catchy songs around the camp fire, but I also make my own music (mostly pop and jazz).

My first language is Dutch but I speak fluently English and my French is also pretty allright.
