Wanting to be active outdoors in nature, grow food organically, regenerative agriculture, self-sufficiency, arts & crafts, meditation.

Beschreibung

My name's Tony and i'm retired. Work was mainly decorating, which included hand painted kitchens, paint finishes and some murals. I'm quite practical and I've done some tiling, basic carpentry, fencing. Little farming experience except in chicken houses on a kibbutz in my youth and the last few years on a few smallholdings, helping out in the vegetable garden and with a few of the animals - goats& chickens. I'm 70 now and want to remain active. I'm keen to learn about organic growing / farming, get out into the country and connect with nature. (Interested in regenerative farming, no dig methods.) (Maybe bee-keeping - I like a bit of raw honey}
Hopefully I have plenty of time to enjoy getting my hands in the dirt before I merge/return to it for good.
I've been living alone for some years now but I'm a gregarious person and enjoy meeting people. So I'm motivated do some travelling, to help and to learn on some projects and maybe enjoy a more communal atmosphere.
(I also enjoy time alone and I like to practise meditation each day)
I am waking up to the understanding that this life is a gift and that to have gratitude for that is also a gift. We are here for a short time but whatever time I have left offers new and fulfilling opportunities.

I'm retired now but like to remain active. For the most part of working life I was decorating, which included hand-painted kitchens, paint finishes and some murals.
I'm quite practical and I've done some tiling, basic carpentry, fencing. No farming experience except in chicken houses on a kibbutz, when in my youth I travelled through Europe and on to Israel and worked on a few kibbutzim. (Also did fruit picking.) Having done a bit of wwoofing in UK I have a little gardening experience, weeding, planting etc. sawing lots of willow rods, making hay and clearing ditches, feeding goats and chickens. I'm keen to learn to grow veg and fruit organically. (I also managed the technique to milk the goat a few times but practise needed.)

Was noch ...

As I've said earlier I'm a gregarious person but also like some time alone. However I would enjoy more sociability and meeting new people.
I have an interest in trying alternative remedies/medicine/treatments before doctors and drugs. (Fortunately I haven't been to a doctor for many years.)
As well as being a reasonable artist I don't mind standing up and having some fun in some 'Am Dram' - amateur dramatics.
