Paar / zwei Freunde
30.05.2018 - 08.03.2020
Thanks for reading our profile!
We are two French people who left home, jobs (team and project management in the food industry), apartment, cars, etc... to start a new life away from consumerism, money, private property obsession... This started the 29th of May 2018...
We started travelling looking for experiences made of sharing and learning other ways of living!
Our idea has always been to help and learn from people, making things out of our 20 fingers!
Both loving life with others, we enjoy cooking and bringing people together around any kind of activity.
We are very enthusiastic, outgoing and dynamic!
We started travelling in East Africa (5 different countries) for 7 months and have been volunteering in 6 different places, mainly gardening (we had an amazing 2 weeks permaculture training in Malawi) and doing handy work (making tables, benches from earthern plasters, building a shower system with a watering can, and making general maintenance in the place we were living).
We then came to Australia and have been volunteering in 5 different places during 3 months in total: mainly off grid, in eco building projects. Our last experience involved also 2 new topics we discovered and loved: native bush care/regeneration and beekeeping (one of our dreams!!).
All these experiences led us to one conclusion: we want to keep on travelling, focusing on sustainable, self sufficient and community projects.
We often question ourselves on how human could recover from all the destruction he keeps on operating everywhere. How could we get so far into destroying ourselves? Whatever is the answer to this huge question we do believe that peace can only be spread if you already experienced yours, your inner peace...
Now we started a new journey in India. We have been looking for this step for a long time as we always felt attracted by the culture, the traditions and beliefs of India, so diverse, so rich and so spiritual.
We strongly feel that our own pathway to peace and freedom will experience a big step forward in this incredible country. So many incredible things already happened since we arrived!

So far, we have been focusing on developing skills in sustainable ways of growing food such as permaculture (we had a very good practical 2 weeks training in Malawi) and eco house building.
We are becoming more and more handy people, we made for example outdoor furnitures out of pallets (tables, benches, chairs, fence) and pathways out of bricks.
We love cooking and inventing new recipes out of the fresh ingredients available in the place we live.
We are practising and experimenting sourdough bread making! It's getting very yummy..
Nuria has been practicing yoga for a couple of years in France and we both discover pranayama and meditation in one of the places we volunteered in Tasmania.
Aurélien has been playing football from 5 to 32 years old and would be happy to share his knowledge about football or sports in general.
Nuria loves photography (and has a bit of theoretical knowledge) and is able to take great pictures even with her small camera!

We would really love to practice and learn more about beekeeping.
We are also extremely keen on learning more about agroecology, agroforestry, foodforestry amongst other ways of growing food respecting nature.
At some point in our trip, we would also like to practice more upcycling objects because we believe that everything can have a second chance in life!
Being in India, we would love to learn more about yoga, pranayama, meditation, ayurveda amongst other practices still unknown for us.
