Hello! We are Joseph and Cassidy. An easy going, friendly and enthusiastic couple from Moray and Shetland (Scotland). We have a shared love of art, music, travel, and the great outdoors! Keen to share skills, gain new experiences and meet like minded people from all walks of life.

Joseph is a musician, playing a little bit of everything but with guitar being his instrument of choice! He is an abstract landscape artist with a facination for clouds and seascapes.

Cassidy likes to paint and dable in all things creative and is always having fun trying out new things. She enjoys circus / ariel sports too and is very keen to learn yoga or other dancing activities.

Cultural exchange and skill sharing as well as a dose of freedom and nature in the company of new and interesting people is what we hope to get from work away!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Joseph has spent the past couple of years running a landscape gardening business and sub contracting hardwood flooring. He's also studied arboriculture and know his way around woodland and a chainsaw!
Best working on finishing carpentry, Jospeh is time served in wood flooring from joist up and wood surface restoration. He has plenty of experience with skirtings, architraves, and panelling and would be happy to take on framing work if time is no object. He is definitely keen to develop this side of his carpentry past fencing and decking. He is a very respectful and hard worker, always keen to take on new methods and skills.
In addition to this he has experience in hospitality (bartending and lounge hosting).

Cassidy is a fully qualified childcare practitioner with 8 years experience running afterschool clubs, crèches and nannying. Particularly passionate about child lead care and the importance of play, nature and creativity in child development! She also has some casual work housekeeping for Air B and Bs.
Recently she moved away from childcare and instead decided to focus her attention on learning the practice of horticulture. Particularly using permaculture and no dig methods. She spent 2 months in Spring as a volunteer for a botanic garden and CSA. Building on that experience she managed the garden at a workaway over Summer and has been researching the subject in her spare time. Cassidy also has some basic diy and decorating skills which she is very keen to expand on and get some carpentry and general building experience!
She'd also be delighted to take part in any creative / art projects where possible as this is a great love and hobbie of hers!

Together we are capable of growing, managing and harvesting vegetables, improving soil and small scale crop planning. As well as houskeeping, childminding, hosting, crafting and grafting! We are happy to give anything a go and keen to learn. Conscientious, enthusiastic workers who love to get stuck in to a project.

Was noch ...

We're currently living in Angus, Scotland & are interested in getting involved with opertunities locally. We'll travel around Spain in our van for around 3 weeks in Dec-Jan and would love to get involved in any work away opertunities there be it meeting fellow travellers, hosts, short workaway projects etc.

  Cassidy is a vegeterian although doesnt have an issue with others eating what they wish! We both enjoy a diet filled with nuts, seeds, grains, pulses fruit and vegetables.
