Hello! We’re Jessyca and Fabiola
This is our very first volunteer exchange, and we’re super excited because we love discovering new things — places, cultures, people, animals, languages, and learning new skills. We’re very adaptable, proactive, and we truly enjoy helping out, supporting others, and exchanging genuine experiences.

We’re driven by the idea of contributing something positive to the world!

We’ve been friends for many years and decided to take a sabbatical year to step out of our comfort zone and explore this big, beautiful world, hoping to make a small but meaningful difference in the lives of the people we meet.

Jéssyca is a veterinarian

Fabiola is a children’s book illustrator

We both love animals, nature, beaches, connecting with people, books, movies, series, and of course, enjoying delicious local food.

Our English is basic (Jessyca) and intermediate (Fabiola), so we can communicate well and are always eager to learn more.

We know how important it is to have trustworthy people to take care of pets. With Jéssyca’s veterinary background and our shared love for animals, we can assure you that your furry friends will be in excellent hands!

We can also help with painting, arts and crafts — Fabiola is especially talented since she’s an artist. Oh, and we’re great at organizing spaces, including closets and storage areas!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Fabi: Me formei em Zootecnia e tive uma oportunidade incrível de trabalhar com cães e cavalos durante a faculdade — uma experiência que só me fez amar ainda mais os animais. Também trabalhei em um veterinário hospitalar, o que me proporcionou um conhecimento relevante na área. Além disso, tenho muita experiência como dog walker e pet sitter, sempre cuidando dos animais com todo o amor e responsabilidade que eles merecem. Hoje em dia, estou mergulhando em outra paixão: trabalho como ilustradora de livros infantis! Adoro usar minha criatividade para dar vida a histórias e também gosto de atividades práticas, como artesanato e pintura. Para mim, crie tem tudo a ver com conexão — seja com arte, animais ou pessoas. Tenho carteira de motorista, caso seja necessário.

Jeh: Sou veterinária há quase dez anos e estou completamente imerso no mundo dos animais desde então — honestamente, é o melhor! Passo a maior parte do meu tempo na clínica cuidando de cães e gatos, mas meu amor por animais de estimação não parou por aí. Também administro um hotel para cães, onde garanto que eles sejam mimados e felizes enquanto cozinham de toda a logística dos bastidores. Já trabalhei como babá de cães e gatos, então entendo perfeitamente as preocupações deles – desde o cachorro que não dorme sem cobertor até o gato que envelhece como um rei (e sejamos sinceros, eles geralmente são!). Mas, ei, nem tudo são animais! Também trabalhei com vendas, o que me ensinou muito sobre como me conectar com as pessoas. Além disso, adoro ser criativo em casa – consigo pintar paredes, redesenhar espaços para deixa-los e até dobrar roupas como um profissional (é estranhamente gratificante, juro!). E com minha carteira de motorista sempre pronta, estou pronta para qualquer coisa que a vida me der.
