Hi everyone!
My name is Ilan and I am a student physiotherapist and collector of knowledge and life. Originally from the US, with a mixed ethnic background and culture. I spent many years in Germany and later traveling around the world before settling to study in beautiful Scotland.

I am passionate about travelling, connecting, trying new foods, learning new languages, being resourceful and thrifty, and overall adventuring and having a good time. I love exploring and learning and am seeking to see as much of the world as possible, while taking a little piece of each place with me when we go. Anything I don't know, I am willing to learn and believe we can all teach and share things with one another.

I love using workaway as a way to meet new people, learn new skills, and help as much as we can while learning about the place and people that make up the culture. I am also very passionate about the preservation of the environment and the role we play in that, as well as equality for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender, race, ethnicity, or religion. I believe that our differences make us unique and they should be appreciated instead of hated. I am hard-working, dedicated, and enthusiastic about helping others and creating long lasting relationships. :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

My skills are a bit all over but I overall I am quite resourceful and an out of the box thinker. I believe I am good at communicating, very hard working, and a team player as well.

I've worked in many different fields so I can bring to the table skills from:
gastronomy and bar:
- customer service
- reception
- barista and pouring a good pint
- know a thing or two about the ways of a kitchen
- events and festival management

physiotherapy and medical skills:
- massage
- minor injuries
- prehabilitation and prevention
- health guidance and recovery with certain conditions.

I have also taught english and german, as well as run courses and talks at my university and work. Additionally I have some experience with domestic and exotic animal care and I know a bit about DIY and construction. :)

Was noch ...

I enjoy tending to my plants, learning history and languages, adventuring and exploring and overall being active. Trying new recipes as well as exploring the different palettes of wine, spirits, and beers is always fun for me too.
What I most love is making connections with people from different backgrounds and experiences.
