Beschreibung
I am 24 years old and I study primary school teaching in Germany.

I speak fluent German and English, as well as a bit of French, Slovak and Swedish and I am always opened to learn more!

I have babysitting-experience through my little brother, who is 11 years old now. :)

In 2017 I spent 8 months in Lofoten, Norway, guiding tourists on an Icelandic horse farm - the best 8 months in my life so far. :)
I worked together with a lot of different people from countries like Sweden, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, England, Finland....... I am a very social person and make new friends quickly. This includes also animals. :D At the farm I was lucky to have 50 Icelandic horses, one Shetland Pony, two dogs and one cat around me every day! :)

My tasks on the farm included guided riding tours from short tours of 1 1/2 hours to long tours of 4 hours, aswell as lead rope tours with children, cleaning up the farm, taking care of the horses, feeding hay bales to the horses with the tractor, driving tourists in a 9-seater, cleaning the tourist toilets and other small tasks.
We, the guides lived together in a big house, and we shared the bathrooms and the kitchen and cooked for ourselves.

I enjoy working outside and I love rough nature, animals, children, hiking, learning new things, interesting conversations and cozy evenings on the couch. :)

Vom Workawayer (Clara) für Host (Fun interaction and learning ...)

My month in Holyhead (which is pronounced “Hollyhead” btw) was extremely special and will forever be a cherished memory of mine. This stay full of beautiful landscapes, fresh air, time spent outside and feeling like a cherished part of the family was like a reset for me.
Right away when Becky picked me up at the station I felt how loving and… read more friendly of a person she is. One of the first things she told me was: “I just booked a three hour long horse riding trip in the mountains for us!!” (beware: adventures await! :D) and I knew: this is a great fit! <3
During the whole month she made sure that I had everything that I needed, that I felt comfortable and also that I got enough time for myself or for us to do fun things.

I felt very trusted by Becky, as she let my drive her van (driving on the left side of the road of course!) for example and let me pick up the kids from school / nursery.
Other typical tasks that I would do included playing with the children, picking up Ralph from nursery with the pram, tiding up the kitchen and kids’ playroom, hoovering, cleaning a bit here and there, preparing snacks for Ralph and feeding them to him, changing his nappy & clothes, talking to Willow and doing fun activities like rock painting with her. These two are the cutest children and I totally fell in love with both of them. Ralph can be stubborn at times, but is a complete angel and very sensitive in general and playing with him and his diggersss, excavators, train etc. is great! :) Willow is so polite and sweet and knows no fear! She is very independent for her age and is very good in keeping herself but it is great just to listen to her thoughts or watch her set up her Playmobil-stable.
There is not much screen-time in the house – be prepared for boardgames like Horse-Monopoly or spending the whole day outside in the garden (where you can listen to like a million birds) and watch Ralph get completely wet while playing with water. 

We cooked and ate great food, spent a lot of lovely days at the beach (Becky has a lot of really sweet friends! Many dogs and babies :D) and I usually used the time I had for myself for taking long walks and hikes with Olive (the dog (she is also very cuddly <3)). I even went hiking in Snowdonia national park twice (but Holyhead mountain is at least as great, you don’t really need to leave the island). :D
And oh, the long talks I have had with Becky – what an absolute lovely lady she is. :D We talked very openly about everything right from the start. She is easy going, understanding, empathic, a great listener, chef and much more! We truly became friends and I cannot wait to come back to Holyhead!
I totally fell in love with this heartwarming family and Holyhead + Angelsey. It is probably one of the most beautiful places you can ever visit in your life!

Btw: everything (road signs etc.) on Angelsey (or how the island is called in Welsh: “Ynys Môn”) is written in English and Welsh.
Becky is originally from Oxford but I learnt a lot of Welsh words and phrases anyway – it is a great language! :D The best Welsh-speaker in the house is Willow, because she learns it in school (ysgol). :)
