Hi there !!!
I'm Charlotte and I am a chef on board scientific research ships. I am technically in the Merchant Navy, but my strain of work is very different to that of other MN vessels in that we have an environmental responsibility and purpose to our voyages. My lifestyle means I have a very unique working schedule, I usually do a 2 month on 2 month off rota, giving me large quantities of time off in one go.... which leads me to Workaway!
I have travelled to all 7 continents and over 45 countries and have been independent and self sufficient since I was 16 when I moved out to travel and start a new life. Before I was a chef, I was a waitress and then a stewardess on Superyachts meaning I have extensive hospitality and catering experience to the highest level possible. I am also a keen writer and travel blogger- so I have experience with that (although I am somewhat of a technophobe and prefer to distance myself from technology!) I also like to paint abstract, although whether I am any good is debatable!
I have spent much of my time working in a team, living in close quarters with others (2 months on a tin can with the same handful of people can often be a real mental challenge!) so I am used to working in cosy little groups. I am curious, willing to learn, positive and peaceful. I'm not a big drinker although I do like to socialise, and I am crazy about all outdoors activities especially hiking, sea sports, trekking and anything to do with being in the mountains.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am a chef first and foremost so cooking, although I occasionally eat seafood I am mostly a vegetarian (no meat for 3 years) and used to run a vegan cafe with friends whilst living and working in Australia. I have experience cooking all types of dishes, meat included, but specify in healthy, nutritious vegan and veg foods. General maid duties, bed making, cleaning, organising etc. as I was a stewardess on board a 48m Superyacht. I also enjoy writing, blogging, painting, reading, speak some Italian, and will give pretty much anything else a go. I adore animals, especially dogs and sea creatures (whales!!) so anything involving animals would be a massive bonus for me.

I am very loving, caring and understanding and have a lot of kindness to give to those who care for me and include me in their lives! I try to be as positive as I can and help others, I love playing games and giggling and music and being in a group of people.
