Beschreibung

Hello! I am Carla, from Grenoble (France).

I just finished my geotechnical engineering studies and now my plan is to travel a bit, Via ! My project is to go to Sicily for a month and a half (between the 31st October and the 15th December). This is a trip close to my heart because, Sicily is the land of my grandmother.

I’ve done several Workaways (one in England, one in France, two in Irland), all as wonderful as each other.

Me in few words :
I adopt, as much as possible, an ecological and healthy way of life. I like to be careful about what I eat (mostly vegetarian or vegan) and how I consume.
I’m easy-going, mainly because I looove cooking and share all my dishes (you'll see, it's not unpleasant to live with me). I’m also kind and sociable 😉
I’m sporty, and relay dynamic. I practise climbing, swimming, rowing, cycling, skiing, running, hiking and fitness. I try as well to learn acro-yoga with my sister.
I enjoy being outdoors. No ! I need to spend time outdoors every days.
I am good at organization, storage and planning.
I like to learn and I am curious. People often describe me as a motivated and hard-working girl.

I’m interest in and want to learn :
Languages, gardening and self-sufficiency, life in community, viticulture and oenology, do-it-yourself ,meditation and take care of horses.

I am open to any opportunities, the most important for me is a good feeling with the person(s), the project(s), the cultural exchange and to make as many good memories as possible.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I love cooking, especially vegan and vegetarian dishes.
I’m very good at tidying up and organizing (if you give me time I could make your house even more functional).
I have worked in several wine estates and and i'm passionate about it.
I have a sense of service, rigor and work (I have already worked as a waitress in Ireland and an engineer in France).
I like to take care of the kids. I can also look after elderly or disabled persons. For the past three years, I have been a summer camp counsellor and I also did as volunteer a travel in Italy with a group of fifteen adults with disabilities.
I tinker/gardener from time to time.
I know the basics to take care of horses.
I can be a rowing coach (I have already been for the leisure group in my rowing club) and I can improvise myself as fitness coach ;)

During my previous Workaways I did : sanded and repainted window frames, repainted a room, put away a barn, a garage and houses, mowed the lawn, cleared a field, moved wood logs, cooked, take care of children, welcomed people coming for a B&B, cleaned, ironing, did the grocery shopping, take care of 7 horses, 40 sheep and more ore less 30 hens.

Of course, I can do other things if you teach me.
