  Hello, I'm Marie from Belgium. Currently, I live in Germany with my husband, who is from India, and our two children, ages 3 and 6. We're quite an international family. When I was single and without obligations, I used Workaway to explore Ireland and Switzerland. It was a lot of fun.
  
  Now that we've moved into a new house and are busy with work and the kids, we're looking to bring cultural exchange back into our lives by hosting a Workawayer. Our 3-floor house is located near Dresden, surrounded by nature. In our free time, we love exploring the area through hiking, biking, and swimming, and you're more than welcome to join us!
  
  Our dinner time is already full of different cultures, but we always have space at the table for another!

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  At our home, we enjoy a mix of Belgian, Indian, and a bit of German cuisine. The children know lots of German jokes and songs, so you can experience a bit of all these cultures just by visiting us!
  
  We will be together, share meals, we can also cook togethers, exchange travel tips, and explore all the involved culture. We are very excited to make new friends and to get to know different cultures. In our home, we believe it is important to bring different views and beliefs to our children.
  
  Outside our home, you can connect with other travelers and try different cultural activities. You can easily visit Dresden by train, and we can drop you off at the closest tram station. In Dresden, there are many groups from Couchsurfing, Meetup, and InterNations. We can help you get started with these traveler websites if you're not familiar with them yet.
  
  There are plenty of activities to do in Dresden and Saxony, such as hiking in the Sächsische Schweiz, visiting museums, enjoying markets and festivals. Let us know what you enjoy, and we can make some suggestions!

  In the house, we need help with painting, and if you have an art project you'd like to do to improve our home, we're open to that. We also need assistance with fixing some things. Currently, we plan to move some furniture to a different room, paint or draw on some walls, and hang a few frames. Occasionally, I might need help with cleaning. Nevertheless, we have a professional already to help us with it.
  
  We also need help with the attic. Our project is to make it more comfortable. You can definitely help us with moving some boxes, fix some furniture , etc. For the more complex tasks, such as insulation, electrical work, and structural changes, we will hire local tradespeople to ensure everything is done correctly.
  
  In the garden, we need help with tasks like redoing the grass, moving a garden hut, and maintaining our plants (I'm not very good at this!).
  
  With the children, being kid-oriented would be very helpful. They would love some entertainment and getting to know a different culture.

  I'm still learning German, and I definitely lack knowledge in Hindi! My kids need to practice their French and Hindi as well. We miss hearing a native English speaker. Of course, we can help you with all of these languages too. There's always a family member who knows one or the other!

  Unterkunft

  You can sleep either in a tent in the garden, which has space for 3 adults, or in the attic. Alternatively, we can set up the tent in the attic. We have all the camping gear for 4 people, including a proper mattress on the floor, a kid's mattress, and a toddler bed. Blankets, sleeping bags, and pillows are all provided.
  
  The attic is a good place to stay, though the insulation isn't perfect, and there are quite a few toys around. Nevertheless, there is a door and we will respect your privacy.

  Was noch ...

  Our house is just a few meters away from the train station, with direct trains to Dresden. The tram stop is a bit further, but you can rent a bike during your stay and bike to the tram stop, or we can drop you there.
  
  From Dresden, you can easily travel to places like Prague, Poland, and Vienna. We're also near the airport, so you can take a taxi to reach our place.
  
  In front of our home is a castle that sometimes hosts festivals, making it a great spot for walking and jogging. Next to us is a river, and behind us is a horse stable. We also have alpacas a little further back. During your time off, you can definitely check them out.
  
  You are welcome to go partying, but please note that the kids sleep from 8 pm and wake up at 6 am, often waking up the whole house.
  
  You can use all the common areas, just remember to clean up after yourself. If my kids forget, feel free to remind them too.

  Digital nomads are welcome! My husband sometimes works from home, and I hope to do so soon as well. We have a desk available in the attic and a large table in the living room that you can use. During the day, we are usually at work, so the house is peaceful and quiet—perfect for getting some work done.
