  Beschreibung

  We are an English couple living in Mandelieu La Napoule, 45 minutes from Nice Airport, 20 minutes from Cannes and 15 from the nearest local beach. In the winter ski season we are 1.5 hour drive from 3 local ski resorts and often take a day out to ski.
  We both worked in the UK before leaving to set up a life on the French Riviera.
  
  We have experience in Marketing, Design, Business Development within both small and large companies. Jacqui now works in recruitment for Super Yachts and Nev in Design and Print. Thats not to say we are frightened of getting our hands dirty! We never stop.
  We bought our villa 4 years ago as a project. Don't let the outside of the house put you off, we've not started working on that yet as we have been concentrating on the garden, building terracing and a swimming pool as we spend more time outside in the summer than inside.
  
  Our garden is 1600m2 on a steep incline and was/still is a little overgrown when we started work on it. We have cleared half of it and built a garden and we now need to do some finishing work. If you are physically fit and want to help us get the project finished we would love to hear from you. Don't worry if your not a skilled landscape gardener, builder, electrician, plumber or plasterer etc, we are happy for help in just doing some physical work, cutting bushes down and dragging them uphill to burn, digging a pathway into a hillside etc etc. Happy for someone to do the housework and cooking whilst we do the grunt outside, any help would be appreciated.
  
  If you do have any of the skills above, we can also find you some small projects to help us with. Our list never seems to end! Ah the joys of a project!
  
  We both speak basic French but we are happy to learn if you do!
  We do not have children but we have two cats. Our home can be a great base if you wish to visit the South of France and surrounding areas. Monaco is just over an hour away and Italy an hour and 20 minutes.
  
  WE CAN ONLY TAKE WORKAWAYS WITH THEIR OWN VEHICLE. IF YOU DO CONTACT US, PLEASE CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORT. THE VILLA IS NOT ON A PUBLIC TRANSPORT ROUTE.
  
  WE DO NOT TAKE BOOKINGS MORE THAN 1 MONTH IN ADVANCE AS OUR OWN PLANS OFTEN CHANGE.
  WE DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN, WE ARE NOT A FARM OR HOSTEL. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR WORK WITH CHILDREN, TOURISTS OR ANIMALS OR WANT TO LEARN ABOUT FRENCH CULTURE, WE ARE NOT THE RIGHT HOSTS FOR YOU!

  We like to include everyone in the work we are doing, if you do not have a can do attitude, you will have when you have finished with us. We believe in having a go. We want you to have fun while you are visiting and go home having done things you may have never tried to do before. We are learning everyday ourselves.
  If you are looking for a deep cultural French experience, I'm afraid we are not your hosts. We know a lot about the French Riviera and have lots of experiences we can share with you.
  
  As mentioned in our intro, our villa is a good base for you to explore the French Riviera and surrounding areas. You must have your own transport. There are nearby walks from the house into the hills and forests around us. There are many old villages to explore nearby if you would like a change from the beautiful coastline. We can advise where to go depending on what you like to see and do.
  We enjoy the local beaches when we have time and the mountains for skiing in the winter. Equally we enjoy an evening around the dining table entertaining friends.

  Arbeit

  Projects for 2020 include;
  Landscaping a hillside where the group keeps eroding.
  Building a concrete sack wall. Need help just getting the sacks of concrete down the garden, heavy work!!
  Cutting back the remainder of the forest and disposing of the cuttings.
  Building a raised deck.
  Electrical work.
  Setting up a vegetable patch.
  Digging out plants, weeding, planting etc.
  Painting the wooden shutters on the villa.
  Painting the villa outside.
  Clearing and re-organising the garage.
  Building a mobile workbench for the garage.
  Decorating the inside of the house. Plastering if possible.
  Knocking down internal walls and moving the kitchen. (should be a weekends work, ha, ha)
  Oh and chilling out by the pool!
  
  Our list never ends, there is always something to do.

  Unterkunft

  Accommodation is in the villa, we have two spare double bedrooms, one is en-suite and the other is next to the main bathroom. We have a swimming pool to enjoy in the summer and a wood burner in the winter.
  No smoking in the house.
  We will provide food but the cooking and clearing is shared.
