We are a Muay Thai yoga retreat based in Phuket. We have a team of Muay Thai trainers, swimming pool, yoga studio, vegan cafe and 16 rooms which we rent out.
You will have the opportunity to live in a local thai community and to learn Muay Thai during your period of stay. You will mix directly with many thai people and will learn a lot about the way they live and their culture.
We need help from a qualified and experienced yoga teach from May to September 2022. Unless you can come for this period and stay you need not apply for this opportunity. You will be required to assist with teaching Vinyassa/restorative yoga for one hour a day, six days a week. You will also be required to help with our social media. You will need to provide evidence of your qualifications and experience in teaching.
Accommodation will be provided in an air conditioned room. The standard of accommodation is high. (It is possible you will be required to share a room with someone else.). You will be provided with plant based breakfast and lunch Monday to Saturday.
This is a great opportunity to get at the heart of Thai culture and to meet a lot of people from all over the world.
Phuket is a melting pot of indigenous Thais, Thai-Chinese, ethnic Malays and even sea gypsies. The majority of the population in the rural areas is Muslim. Outside of the provincial town, the rural folk speak with a thick Southern dialect which is difficult for even other Thais to understand. The provincial town’s economy having boomed over the past decade has led to a lot of the youngsters leading similar lives to those in Bangkok. Altogether, the lifestyle of the urban Sino-Thais in Phuket resembles that of their counterparts in Bangkok.
