  We are a family of four living in a village in the mountain of Tenerife
  Richard and me (Karen) have our 15year old son and 15year old foster son living in a run down canarian house.
  We have two houses on our land up in the mountains of Tenerife, we live about 40 minutes from summit of mount Teide and 15 minutes from the beach
  The boys are at our local senior school and Rich and I both work
  So any help getting our home finished would be totally awesome.
  The canarian house is a total wreck with a hole in roof and no water or electricity.
  The house we live in is at the second fix stage, we have bathroom kitchen water and electricity but there is so much more that needs attention.
  You would have your own double room with shared bathroom and kitchen
  We will supply breakfast and dinner
  We have two scatty dogs who sleep outside in the kennels but mostly live in house with us.

  Tenerife is the most diverse place on the planet! If your interested in surfing, cycling, diving, star watching (amazing from our garden)
  Fishing, whale watching or history we have it here.
  There is so much more to Tenerife than just the beach and party atmosphere
  The Canarians are very religious people who live a simple life
  The Catholic church’s are incredible and the fiestas are plentiful.
  The cyclists are in our village daily completing their altitude training
  The walks have the most breath taking views
  Mostly it’s the people here, the family values and community spirit.

  Arbeit

  Lots of Plastering, some brick laying, tiling floors, outside electrics, lots of joinery work and repairing old windows and shutters
  Landscaping garden including building outside stairs/steps laying patio areas, planting but also ideas on design and layout would be very welcome as we have no solid ideas or architectural designs to follow.
  This house is just evolving as we earn the money and attack next task.
  But we would like to keep to the Spanish/Canarian style

  We have a double room for you with a shared family bathroom
  We will supply breakfast and lunch, but you need to make it yourself and dinner will be made for you.
  It’s home from home.

  Buses here are incredibly reliable and cheap
  In the next town from our village Granadilla a 20 min walk ,
  There is a bus station and buses take you everywhere
  From our little village you can get buses directly into Los Cristianos or Las Américas (40/45 min) where you will find and I highly recommend you visit is Siam park, Europe’s largest water park it’s brilliant. But there is so much more to do here.
  Or you can go to El Médano (20 min) a typical Canarian beach it’s very new age with all the wind or kite surfers
  Los Abrigos is a beautiful Little fishing port with the most amazing fish restaurants (30 min)
  Santa Cruz (1 hour) the main city, in February/March ( start of lent) they hold the second biggest carnival in the word it’s totally amazing you just don’t sleep for a week lol
  The buses can take you up the mountain as far as Vilaflor it’s the highest village in Europe with amazing views it’s in the national park and is stunning
  If you want to visit the summit of Teide you will have to book an excursion
  You can get boat trip to see whales and dolphins also
  Boat trips to the island of La Gomera
  There is so much more to do and see on this little island.
