    Description

Hello and welcome. We are two individuals on the same path toward a self sustainable life style. This life style includes a living home construction project known as an EARTHSHIP. This spring and summer this CUSTOM EARTHSHIP is offering unique workshops which include, unique and creative bottle walls ... cob work ... plumbing and electrical installations.

Construction experience is an asset but not always necessary as we can all learn and share from doing. I maybe the teacher but as a teacher I know that I also learn many things from anyone willing to learn and share.

NOTES...location is about a ten minute journey to the nearest city Castlegar, and once here on the land you will experience a genuine mountain country side experience.

Upon arrival during the summer months there are many choices for tent camp set up, as well one small camper that can accommodate two people. As well there is a rustic but very user friendly outhouse on site.

Thanks for dropping by and please if you have any questions drop in and ask away.

    Kurt

SPECIAL NOTE: The 2020 construction season is now done. This years project season proved to be a very successful one with the help of some very enthusiastic guest volunteers. It appears that this coming year ahead will be an exciting one as we are very close to the completion of the Earthship. Once the month of April of 2021 arrives we will be opening up our project once again to new volunteers and possibly the final year of construction. The fun stuff that we will need help with next year lay within the realms of plumbing and electrica, glass bottle creations as well as the finishing cob applications. Thank-you so much to all of the enthusiastic help that we have received thus far.

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Benefits from cultural exchange are many depending upon the workings of this project and nearby communities.

As land caretakers and citizens of this earth we have picked this specific project as a way to not only benefit ourselves but also benefit any volunteer guests that make the choice to join us on our journey.

We are enthusiastic in the sharing of our knowledge and our land to like minded individuals who feel comfortable within their choice to be here as well as being independent during their off time while here. As hosts it takes a great deal of time and energy to plan and present to you, we hope, an unforgettable experience while here. With this being said it is important to communicate and respect one another's space during the time spent with us.

The best key to learning, we believe, is the sharing of knowledge and life experiences. So you will find, that during your time here, you will have this freedom while sitting around a nightly camp fire.
