    Description

We, Hans, and I are a semi-retired couple still living and helping on the farm. Our son Dominic and his wife Samantha with their two boys own the farm now. It's a cattle operation of 90+ cows and hay production.
Our place is semi-remote, a beautiful quiet location, with gorgeous untouched wilderness. There are many beautiful lakes in our area. Well-known Wells gray park is close by (11/2 hours from our place)

In our big garden, we grow a lot of organic vegetables. Chores vary with the season.

Right now, we are busy landscaping our new house. Painting is also still needed and brickwork. Leveling grounds and planting the right bushes and trees.

We come from a traditional background with a very strong work ethic. We enjoy working hard as well as taking time for recreation and relaxation when time allows.
From experience, work hours work best on full days, and having a helper gets full days off, too. But we are flexible.

Over the years we have hosted many students from all over the world and enjoy getting to know new interesting people. We welcome all ages and backgrounds but we do require someone who can work independently. Our need for help is constant over the summer month but continuously changing. We have found from experience that the most important asset a helper can bring to our place is an optimistic outlook and a positive attitude. Anyone who comes needs to be willing to work effectively and not be afraid to try new things.
