  My apologies to the many I have not replied. Was away from the entire trade for a long time and now started of again with a small hostel project.
  
  Hi i'm Chathura (If that is hard to pronounce you can call me Chatz). We run a hostel in the misty hills of Kandy. Few years back I started one of the most fun hostels in Kandy (Now run by my friend). It was a really fun place and the we had the tragic easter attacks and the year after the pandemic hit. So I had to hang my hostel boots and get back to corporate work to get the bills paid.
  
  Now that things have settled down, I have started to build a new hostel, which is actually a bit away from the city but close enough to be called a Kandy hostel. (5km away from the city center)
  
  We strive to make our volunteers feel at home away from home. Rarely would we say no and rarely would you need to ask once we agree and commence on our assignments. Hoping to hear from you and working together in the near future.
  
  PS : Most of the reviews I have from workaway folk is for my earlier two hostels. I can assure you the new hostel experience is as good or even better as we are surrounded by great green forests.

  We love sharing all our local insights of Kandy as well as the rest of Sri Lanka. If you would like to cook Sri Lankan food we can offer you free classes. Since we are located within a village you would be able to see more local culture and customs and the actual live of a villager not too far from the city.

  Very Urgent :
  
  Creative photography of the hostel.(Top Urgent need to get a good shoot of the rooms and properly done)
  
  Whilst we mostly are on the look out for artistic and creative folks. We have also listed other projects that we would like to have help with.
  
  There is always something that someone could do.
  
  We would love to have volunteers who can help us with creating new things, painting, murals, gardening and carpenters who can help us build unique furniture. If you skills are not listed still please do get in touch I am sure there will always be something we could do together.
  
  Listed below is a list of projects we have in mind:
  
  1) Murals : Need lots more, artist please reach out

  3) Social Media assistance
  4) Promotion of our hostel in your country's social media
  5) Creative photography of the hostel
  6) Creatives (Photoshop or other) for social media
  7) Video reviews of the hostel and attractions around us
  8) Build some garden tables and benches
  9) Happy to hear other ideas that would add value to the hostel

  Unterkunft

  Your accommodation would be within a 4 bed mixed dormitory with all bedding and linen included. It has a shared bathroom and is located on the ground floor of the hostel. However if you are staying for a long time with us and if the hostel occupancy is low we at times upgrade you to deluxe double rooms. So that you would occasionally enjoy some personal space and added comfort.
