    *Looking for one female only*

We really would like you to become part of our family during your stay. If you are a bubbly, energetic, mature person (21 years and over), non-smoker, someone who has good initiative, then get in touch 😀

I am looking for a volunteer who is willing to help out around the house, help prepare meals and play and interact with my 9 year old girl. Also to take our little dog for a walk. 25 hours in total.

I am a primary school teacher and my daughter attends primary school. We are a busy family with many activities too in the evenings like music, swimming, athletics and other sports.

We live in a two story, 4 bedroomed house in the suburb Glanmire close to Cork city. There are many English classes you can attend in Cork and get to know others if you wish.

We live close to Cork city, about 15 minutes by car. The bus stop is less than 1 minute walk from our house and it goes to the the city every 30 minutes so it's a great service. Bed and board provided.

We have a little puppy called Belle. She is an adorable cavachon and is kept indoors.

We live very close to Cork city which is known as the 'city of festivals', so there is always something going on there. The bus stop is literally outside our housing estate and goes every 30 minutes.

We like cooking in this house and would love to share culinary delights. We try to eat a healthy diet with lots of fruit and vegetables and like to try different things. We like to talk and tell you about our culture and include you in family outtings too.

    Help

I would like a workawayer who has a good level of English and who is willing to work around the house, prepare meals and spend some time with my daughter and sometimes babysit. My daughtwe is very active and sporty and loves to do arts and crafts so an interest in this would be great.

    Help in the home:
Although I'm happy to work hard, sometimes I just can't manage everything around the house! An extra pair of hands for a few hours a week is so helpful.
    • some help like cleaning up after breakfast
    •loading and emptying the dishwasher
•putting the clothes in the washing machine and hanging them out and a little ironing of the clothes would be helpful.
•Preparing the evening meal on busy evenings
•Vacuuming and mopping the floors etc.

    Help with our dog:
We have a little puppy called Belle. As she is a house dog we would appreciate if you could let her out during the day into the back garden for toileting purposes and also take her for for a walk nearby.

If you like to cook we would love to try some different foods! We try to eat healthily in this house so very little sweets and junk food!

    Accommodation

We live in a 4 bedroomed house so you will have your own bedroom, it has a double bed, wardrobe and locker with bedside lamp. There are 3 toilets/bathrooms in the house so you would (pretty much) have the bathroom to yourself except when my daughter uses it.

The fridge is well stocked, so you can prepare your breakfast and lunch! We like to eat the evening meal together with our Workawayer to share cultural experiences. We welcome you to cook something from your country and love to try new things! We are not vegetarian but we buy quite a lot of vegetables.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

As we are very close to Cork city there are many interesting things to do in Cork for example, festivals, live music and good restaurants and bars. Cork is very multicultural so you would have a lot of people to meet through various groups and I can guide you with this. We also live very close to the train station so you can easily visit Dublin if you so wish. Also as I am a teacher and have long holidays you are welcome to explore some of Ireland with us :)

We are used to having many visitors to our home and had previously had visitors from Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Chile and Brazil and were very much welcomed by our the family.
