  Beschreibung

  We are a small learning community school near Trichy. We are located on a fringe of the city in open spacious campus. We have around 180 children in the age group of 5years to 14 years. We love to have volunteers for sharing their expertise on any trade. We are a open learning community with a democratic setup where adults and kids together decide, do and learn together. The school campus is a space for all of us to do activities you like it and share with kids. The campus gives access to open fields, birds to watch and fresh air all the time.

  We welcome volunteers having a diverse culture and exposure to interact with our kids. You will enjoy and learn from our children with a lot of enthusiasm and energy. You also get to experience a child centric and child learning school, as a model of education. It may change your perception on education and learning compared with structured teacher centric schooling. You also love to see and interact with south Tamilnadu climate, culture and work.

  Arbeit

  We like to have volunteers to share the stuff you are passionate about it with kids. We do not expect volunteers to teach - rather share your expertise by doing/creating/showing something. You could share anything that you are passionate about - could be playing drums or carpentering, painting or playing soccer, making robots or android programming, doing theater or exploring maths etc. We expect you to prepare sessions in advance on atleast one topic and share the details with us before coming.

  Unterkunft

  We have a semi furnished building with beds. Stay and the food is offered to all volunteers (no cost). If you wish to eat from nearby restaurant menu you can visit there. Only vegetarian food is available on our campus. We will help you with your local travel by arranging an affordable, safe vehicle from our local neighbours.Talk to us about any other transport, food and other needs.

  You can explore nearby towns in south Tamilnadu (Madurai, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Srivilliputtur, Tiruchendur, etc), visit temples, farms around this area.
