  Welcome to northern Thailand, the real Thailand ;)
  I will bet money that you are probably tired of Bangkok and Chiang Mai cities, traffic, pollution, $, bars, and even the hot beach? May I offer a different kind of stimulation?
  
  Travellers who wish to live in a little village next to some nature, as well as in a region with a variety of interesting cultural attractions, and who want a simple, relaxing atmosphere will I hope, find my home desirable.
  
  I live in the far north of Thailand south of Mae Sai, the tip top about 30 km in a nice little village in a nature area.
  The environment is rather simple, environmentally / eco friendly, vegetarian, relaxing, and green. There is opportunity for some art, music, yoga and meditation area, walking, and hiking. In the area, are many special highlights to experience; Mae Fah Luang Royal Flower Gardens and Palace, Mae Sai/Taichalek, Myanmar, Golden Triangle/Mekong River, and a vast variety of different hilltribe villages, all within 1-2 hours on motorscooter.
  
  I am organic, eco, and vegetarian minded. At present I live alone but have friends and various guests periodically visit from all over. I am a teacher, artist, musician, writer, gardener, etc. etc. etc. ;) Generally I am from Alaska, and have travelled around the world and have lived in Thailand, Alaska, the U.S., China, Switzerland, and Turkey. Japan and Guatemala are next on the list.
  
  Here's the deal: I've hosted hundreds and hundreds of travelers. I can't afford to pay for everyone's food, plus some people come and don't work efficiently as agreed on (they need to not come). WA guests need to pay pay for their own food - vegetarian only: everybody helps cook and cleans the kitchen. Then, work on projects about 3-5 hours a day (house, garden, misc.). Generally, we have fun and enjoy working on different things, and learning etc. IF you don't have any money, you can work 5-7 hours a day, and I will pay for the food, but this is not preferable, but it's. o.k. I am glad to help you all out, but I have to keep the system going fairly, or else not host (I can hire poor hilltribe workers very cheap).
  
  Work projects include (in addition to minor, basic housekeeping that everyone does, (me too): house repair issues, house cleaning, garden expansion (digging and compost maintenance), computer issues, reconfiguration of security cameras, + misc. tasks. There may be opportunities to travel up to the hills to visit a hill tribe school - maybe not - but we can have a class with some little villager kids at my place. ;)
  
  In a coconut shell, I enjoy hosting travellers and making incredible new friends from around the world, sharing friendship and knowledge, exotic dinners together, helping you experience the north of Thailand in a real way. Of course. it is wonderful to have some help with my projects and learn from your skills too.

  For now, I suggest you start learning a few Thai words !!! and of course understand Thai customs and etiquette. A few Thai words and manners... and a smile go a long, long way here!

  They can potentially benefit alot with my organic house / garden and my neighbour who collaborates with me in an effort to optimize the education and quality of my guests. We have a variety of ongoing projects that guests can help with depending on their interests and skills; nothing complicated though.

  Unterkunft

  I have a living room that doubles as a communal/sleeping room where guests stay with simple but adequate bedding. There is internet, bath house, kitchen, bamboo hut (also for sleeping), and of course a hammock.

  This is a special area in the golden triangle area of Thailand; the top of Thailand is not far. Also in the area are famous flower gardens, hill tribes, the Golden Triangle, Myanmar border, Mekong River, and more. The bus stop on the main highway is not too far for local transportation and transportation to Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, and Bangkok. Also there are walking and hiking trails all around, and a lake nearby. I have an extra motor scooter that I usually rent out to guests if that's how they want to explore the distant area etc.
  
  My house is a vegetarian house. I don't like it to cook or eat meat here, but there are some shops to do so nearby if necessary. If you smoke tobacco, you can smoke outside and just out of the patio area. It is very peaceful except when I play music; yes I have a guitar and as an artist, I have a little studio I can share.
  
  HOWEVER, WE ARE VERY TIRED OF GUESTS WHO "SAY" THEY WILL HELP AND CONTRIBUTE AND INSTEAD, THEY LIKE TO ENJOY OUR FREE HOME, LIFESTYLE, TOUR OF THE AREA, ORGANIC DRINKS AND BEER, DON'T HELP WITH HOUSECLEANING AND TASKS, ETC. IF YOU JUST WANT A FREE PLACE TO STAY GO LAY ON THE BEACH IN SOUTH THAILAND.
  
  ALSO, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN COMING, PLEASE BE SURE AND CONFIRM; IF IT IS NECESSARY TO CANCEL DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, PLEASE CANCEL; THERE ARE MANY OTHER TRAVELLERS WHO WANT TO COME IF YOU DON'T. AND IF NOBODY COMES MAYBE I WILL GO DOWN TO THE ISLANDS AND LAY ON THE BEACH NAKED MYSELF. I LIKE TO TRAVEL AND HAVE FUN TOO. THANKS.
  
  FINALLY, DECIDE IF YOU REALLY ARE GOING TO COME AND WHEN; MAKE A SCHEDULE - SO I CAN MAKE A SCHEDULE AND TRY TO KEEP IT. SO MANY TRAVELLERS MAKE PLANS WITH ME AND CHANGE OR CANCEL THAT I DON'T REALLY BELIEVE IT WHEN WA GUESTS "SAY" THEY ARE COMING. MAKE A PLAN, THEN ASK TO COME AND VISIT PLEASE! THANKS KINDLY ;)))
