Greetings! My name is Gabriel and I live with my ranch guardian and his family (brother, wife, and six children) here in aguas blancas 1.5 hours outside of Pucallpa. Pucallpa itself is lowland hot jungle. Fortunately, we live on the border of the province of Huanaco in the hills. The weather here can get hot, but tends to be much cooler then pucallpa because of the altitude and different microclimate. There are various streams and a river that pass through the farm. So ample water to go swimming.
Our Property is a 600+ hectare/1500 acre ranch that we purchased in November of 2013. The farm was in a state of abandonment for the last ten years. We need help cleaning up the pasture as the jungle has grown over in different parts. Our long term goal is to do reforestation with this ranch. But for now, we just have our cattle and other animals out grazing.
A great opportunity to experience life in the jungle. In your free time, you can watch wildlife, go fishing, swimming, or horseback riding.
We also have a 70 hectare hotsprings property where if you want to work, you are free to give it a shot:
Sulphur Hotsprings and reforestation. We plan to build a small house, a kitchen, and a few "tambos" for tourists who want to come and make retreat, sweat in the hotsprings, and do mudbaths. The water is very therapeutic. the jungle is high altitude rainforest with intact canopy, lots of monkeys, sachabaca, and other animals. A very magical healing place.

Help in the house
Visitors can work 4 hours in the morning helping cultivate the pasture and gardening, fixing the place up, painting, or planting trees etc. If you want to teach the kids english (great way to learn spanish), that would be in the late afternoon, early evening, one hour.
At the hotsprings: we need help building the huts and kitchen. Also doing reforestation planting trees etc.
english, español, shipibo
At the ranch: There are various housing options; all in the basic barebones farm style. There is one house with an elevated tank/running water, and toilets. If this is not full, you are welcome to stay here. Other options are more basic but include a roof. You will need to bring a mosquito net or tent.
At the hotsprings: we have one bungalow built. This is good for two to three people.
A great opportunity to come and learn about the Peruvian life here in the Amazon. We are naturalists, live a simple and humble life. We value respect, honesty, compassion, and integrity.
If you are interested in healing, there are lots of medicinal plants and the hotsprings will amaze you. We are close to the Rio Pachetea and also not far from the Rio Pichis. Lots of exploration possibilities in the area.
Breakfast is included for the morning workers. Food for the rest of the day is the responsibility of the volunteer. Buy your own food and you can cook yourself or organize with other workawayers or the family, kitchen is available.
We recommend basic spanish for all workawayers. Great opportunity to improve your Spanish!
We dont have electricity or are up to western standards of comfortability. Just so you know upfront, if you are expecting luxury, go to a hotel or an expensive jungle lodge. But if you can sacrifice a little and you want to experience real culture and life in the jungle, learn a lot, and make new friends, come give us a visit!
Communication: Fast internet is available in Campoverde, a small town 12km from Agua blanca and honoria. cost 3 soles hour. There is a Movistar cellular tower in Campoverde. The signal arrives on a few of the hills at our farm. So you can make nacional calls when needed.
For international calls you would need to go to Pucallpa.
