  • Description

    Description

We are developing some land in total harmony with nature and Natural Laws. It consists of an amazing area of an old forest and olive grove on the hills overlooking Florence and the river (5km to town). Since many years we hold there informal gatherings to learn the traditional songs of Native Americans, perform Earth ceremonies, practice alternative life-styles, host groups for holistic workshops and camps in nature of few days. We apply experimental techniques in balance with nature, trying to not disrupt the wild life and natural ecosystems.
It is a natural camp where people can live in simplicity and in harmony with the environment.
There are no permanent residents yet, so occasionally you can enjoy time by yourself.

We offer a spacious and comfortable teepee to live in, or in the tents area if you want to be by yourself. Food will be shared or we'll offer money for personal shopping. The food is mainly cooked on an open fire. We use a compost-toilet to not impact on nature and to save water.

    What else ...

The camp is conveniently located about 5 km from Florence near Bagno a Ripoli. There is a bus stop nearby (or you can borrow a bicycle). Florence is full of sightseeings. The country around us is very beautiful for walks, conoeing, etc. Since 1975 I have been studying macrobiotics, shiatsu massage and alternative medicine. I go often to U.S. to deepen my learning about native cultures and wisdom, or invite teachers to share their knowledge. It is about 15 years that with my drumming group we meet weekly to learn traditional native songs from North America to use on ceremonies. I am a craftsperson and a leather master. We expect that the people that come in our circle are respectfull, and that they have a will to improve themselves to help others and the Earth.
