Description
It is a camping and hostel project that is in the start-up phase. . It is located 8 km south of San Pedro de Atacama, in a natural and peaceful area.
I am a sociable person and I like to know other cultures. For professional reasons I have lived in France, Belgium and Japan. I speak French fluently and basic English. My profession is engineering.

It is an innovative project located in San Pedro de Atacama that offers the opportunity to practice in Spanish through the exchange with passengers mainly from Chile, Europe, Latin America and USA. Learn an entertaining activity of great projection.

I want help from people who want to support me in this personal project. Ideal to have basic knowledge of bricologe, decoration, gardening and administration of recreational centers such as camping, lodge, astrotourism and adventure tourism activities.
I hope the volunteers can help me by sharing the typical tasks of a hostel and campsites, such as cleaning the rooms and pool sector, reception and customer service, simple maintenance of the infrastructure.

Accommodation
I offer space to install tents and access to bathrooms, showers with hot water, full kitchen and pool. Washing machine. Availability of bicycles for use by volunteers. It is possible to provide tent and bed.
I also offer to supply foods of the volunteers.

It is important that volunteers know how to cook their own food.

We stayed 10 days at Mauricio's place, we had a really great time !
A day work generally begins by cleaning the kitchen/showers/etc. (daily routine) then we had some others missions, gardening, a bit of construction and luckily for me artwork !

We spent two weeks working here with Mauricio. He is a very kind and generous person and was a pleasure to be around. We were up everyday at 7:45 to turn on the generator, eat some breakfast, and then do our daily tasks (cleaning bathrooms, showers, and kitchen) and then usually one or two additional tasks around the facilities. In the early… read more evening we’d turn the generator back on and water plants around the pool. Each night at midnight we’d shut the generator off again. All in all, the work was usually 4-5 hours/7 days a week. If you want a day off, Mauricio was open to having you work a bit extra another day. We stayed in an awesome teepee and were given 5000 pesos per person, per day to purchase groceries which was more than enough food. The kitchen is outstanding and a great place to cook and socialize! It is about 8-10 kilometers outside of town, though Mauricio drives into town most days and is willing to give you a ride. There were two bikes that we could use (when they weren’t being used by guests) which made the ride about an hour each way. We were able to do some tours in order to see the attractions of the Atacama desert. Mauricio is very knowledgeable and helpful in this regard. The WiFi signal is powered by Mauricio’s phone, so if he’s not around just be aware there isn’t any WiFi. While we were there, Mauricio had to be out of town for a few days, so we babysat the hostel/campgrounds. We made really incredible friends with other travelers and the place as such a special and inviting atmosphere. Thanks for a wonderful couple of weeks, Mauricio! We’ll see you in NYC in 2025.

Pasamos dos semanas trabajando aquí. él es un muy amable y generoso persona y fue un placer para ser alrededor. estábamos todos los días de 7:45 a su vez en el generador, comer algunos de desayuno, y luego hacer nuestras tareas diarias (limpieza cuartos de baño, ducha, cocina y) y luego por lo general uno o dos tareas adicionales en torno a las instalaciones. en la tarde nos gire el generador de nuevo y plantas de agua en torno a la piscina. cada noche en la medianoche nos cerrar el generador de nuevo. en general, el trabajo fue generalmente 4-5 horas / 7 días a la semana. si quieres un día libre, Mauricio fue abierto a tener que trabajar un poco más otro día. nos alojamos en una impresionante tipi y dieron 5000 pesos por persona, por día para comprar alimentos que era más que suficiente comida. la cocina es excelente y un gran lugar para cocinar y socializar! Está a 8-10 kilómetros de la ciudad, a pesar de Mauricio unidades en la ciudad más días y está dispuesto a dar un paseo. había dos bicicletas que podríamos usar (cuando no estaban siendo utilizado por los huéspedes), que hizo el paseo alrededor de una hora cada forma. pudimos hacer algunos viajes para ver los lugares de interés del desierto de Atacama. Mauricio es muy conocedor y servicial en este sentido. la señal WiFi es desarrollado por Mauricio del teléfono, así que si no está en torno a sólo tenga en cuenta no hay ningún WiFi. mientras estábamos allí, Mauricio tenía que estar fuera de la ciudad por unos días, así que cuidaba el albergue / campamentos. hicimos realmente increíble amigos con otros viajeros y Andes nómadas tiene una especial y acogedor. ¡gracias por un maravilloso par de semanas, Mauricio! vamos a ver que en la ciudad de nueva York en 2025.
