    Description

We are a Native American owned large acreage working sheep ranch and Glamping hotel located on the Navajo nation overlooking Lake Powell in northern Arizona.

Our glamping hotel provides tourists visiting the Grand Canyon/Lake Powell area a unique stay immersed in nature and a respectful experience with Navajo culture. Hospitality, Operation of the Glamp and interaction with guests may be forefront and of primary concern.

Additionally, we raise Navajo Churro sheep,, goats, horses, chickens, cats, and of course working dogs.

Our ranch is set in outstanding natural beauty. If you are a great lover of nature you will find our ranch to be an excellent jumping off point to all area attractions - the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Colorado River, Antelope Canyon, Zion, etc. Must have your own transportation as it will allow for you to see more things in the surrounding area, not to mention have your own degree of independence.

*️️*️️We prefer workawayers be self contained - RV, camper van or have the basic camping gear - small personal tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad or air mattress, flashlight, durable stainless steel water bottle, toiletries, and the appropriate clothing for the season. Boots and a wide brim hat, etc.*️️*️️

    Must have your own vehicle.

We enjoy hosting workawayers from all over the planet. We wish to learn about your culture and travels as you learn about Navajo culture as well as the American Southwest. We look to you as inspiration as well.

    Help

Help with the daily work for the hotel: it is set in nature utilizing quality off grid, well appointed accommodations. We can use help setting up, bringing guests breakfast, checking guests in and out.

We can offer payment for work. $15 per hour.

Gardeners, permaculturists and those with trade skills - carpentry, masonry, welding, and natural builders and tiny house movement enthusiasts are needed. We have many projects and goals set that will require these skills. Come be a part of our vision.

Also highly desirable: cooks, gardeners, ranch hands, animal care, ranch work - maintaining fences, pens, corrals, etc.

Those who enjoy the off grid life in the great outdoors, hikers, nature enthusiasts, motivated self starters will love it here.

We would appreciate that you understand that this is a family environment and your conduct here must reflect that. Be a positive, dynamic, team minded person who doesn't mind being independent, getting their hands dirty and taking direction from us respectfully. We like people who have experience with ranch/farm work, if you do not then please come with a willingness to learn quickly and a positive attitude. We are a working ranch and all the work we do is to better or maintain our home. This is our home, we love having people here but we ask that you keep in mind this is our home, our sanctuary from the world. Please be respectful to us, the land, the livestock we raise and the places we work. We don't mind any type of lifestyle we just appreciate the positive hard work you would bring to us and we will be happy to host you during your journey through our lives.

    Accommodation

We prefer workawayers be self contained - RV, campervan, or the basic camping gear - small personal tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad or air mattress, flashlight, durable stainless steel water bottle, toiletries, and the appropriate clothing for the season. Boots and a wide brim hat, etc. It is very minimalist here. Off grid living for the most part. Chopping wood, hauling water, solar bathing, and so on.

REI has put together a fine list of camping items one would find useful. Not everything on the list is a requirement.
