Description
Hi! We are a couple of friends, Ivonne and Fran, who recently took over the ownership and management of Hostal. It is a house that is in the process of renovation, but is still working with temporary guests and another long-stay, mainly due to the global contingency generated by Covid 19. It is located in a very pleasant neighborhood, full of cafes, restaurants, bars , art galleries, very central and close to public transport.
We are looking for motivated, proactive and good vibes people who want to help us with the daily management of the hostel (reception, cleaning, laundry ...) but also in our development ... We are open to all ideas! We need people who speak Spanish (at least a basic level) and who are available to stay a minimum month (Please do not write if you do not meet these 2 requirements). We do not accept couples for privacy issues. In return, we offer accommodation and basic food! We like to share a lot with volunteers, and we want people to help us support the family we have created here.
Hola! Somos un par de amigas, Ivonne y Fran, quienes asumimos recientemente la propiedad y dirección de Hostal. Es una casa que está en proceso de renovación, pero que aún así está funcionando con huéspedes temporales y otro de larga estadía, debido principalmente a la contingencia mundial generada por Covid 19. Está ubicada en un barrio muy agradable, lleno de cafés, restaurantes, bares, galerías de arte, muy céntrico y cercano a transporte público.
Estamos buscando personas motivadas, proactivas y buena onda que nos quieran ayudar con la gestión cotidiana del hostal (recepción, aseo, lavandería…) pero también en nuestro desarrollo...Estamos abiertos a todas las ideas! Necesitamos personas que hablen español (por lo menos un nivel básico) y que estén disponibles para quedarse un mes mínimo (Por favor no escribir si no cumplen con esos 2 requisitos). No aceptamos parejas por temas de intimidad. A cambio, ofrecemos el alojamiento y alimentos básicos! Nos gusta compartir mucho con los voluntarios, y queremos contar con gente que nos ayude a mantener la familia que aquí hemos creado.

The work is organized in shifts that change: cleaning, reception... We need hands, ideas and good energy to improve our hostel every day. We have 9 rooms, a large terrace and comfortable common spaces, so you will have plenty of space to feel comfortable.
We offer lodging, laundry, and a nice family atmosphere.

The house is in the heart of Santiago, you can know the city walking from the house. We are close to the subway. Barrio Italia is an ideal place to move around by bike, it is very quiet and safe and has a lot of social life too.
