  Description

  We are an active family in northern Utah looking to host travelers from anywhere in the world! We live in a valley nestled in the Rocky Mountains, with unlimited outdoor activities within minutes of our home. Rivers for fishing or kayaking, lakes for swimming and boating, mountains for hiking, climbing, and mountain biking! We have 2 children living at home, ages 15 and 18. We have traveled to Mexico, Indonesia, Australia, England, Greece, and France, and we love to meet new people and experience a new cultures! We have mountain bikes, road bikes, kayaks, and white water rafts and guests are welcome to use those items while staying with us. Both of our children speak Spanish. We have hosted 3 exchange students for 9 months at a time in the past and had a great experience. We live within 9 hours of Las Vegas and 12 hours from San Diego and Los Angeles. We also live within a few hours of 7 National Parks and love to visit them!

  We can help travelers benefit by providing language practice and showing them our little corner of the earth! We would also do our best to provide travelers with opportunities to do and see much of what Utah and the surrounding area has to offer.

  Help

  Our family is busy with many projects around the house and could use help working alongside as a family member in any area from general maintenance to lawn care and gardening as well as working on Spanish language skills. Travelers will be expected to participate along with family members 2 to 5 hours per day 3 to 5 days per week. While our family is traveling we would need help every day for 1 to 3 hours to care for pets . A driver's license is needed but we will provide a vehicle to use.

  We have available a private bedroom with a shared bathroom in a quiet neighborhood with parks and recreational areas nearby. Public transit is free and within walking distance of our home.

  We love to experience new cultures and interacting with new people. We are religious and welcome our guests to join us, but it isn't required or expected. We don't smoke and wouldn't allow smoking in or around the house. Alcohol use would also only be allowed outside of our property.

  We have space in our driveway for vans or RVs as well as a 110v connection nearby. We also have a bathroom just inside the door leading to the driveway so a toilet and shower are easily accessible without feeling like you are walking through the main house.
